If I can do it, so can YOU!
I'm in my seventies and obviously on fixed income. I didn't want to pay for a new key, fob, and circuit board and then have to reprogram the new hardware. I only wanted to replace the fob which had worn down over the years and over sensitive to the touch. I decided to take a chance and diy the insides to a new fob. Videos on the process took about 6 minutes. It took me about 15 minutes, but I was very successful and very pleased.

It's Worth Buying
This is a great product and feels OEM when compared to other key fobs of it's size. Taking the original shell off is the hardest part, but it was a necessary fix when an entirely new fob is so expensive.

Worth the money.
Easy to use and worth the money. Better than paying $130 to have it professionally done.

PLEASE rethink this
This product itself is fine, but please rethink the idea of using it. The reason I say this is because in my case, the old key was solidly glued together with the strongest glue I have ever encountered in my life. It took 2 hours to get it apart and by that time the chip was damaged. I ended up needing to get a new key after all, so this shell was a total waste. It may be worth it if you can get the old one apart properly, but if it's your last and only key and you don't have experience, I'd advise a different approach.

Not for those who are not mechanically inclined
No written instructions for those who are not computer literate. Perhaps written instructions for disassembling the original fob shell and written instructions for detailed assembling the new fob shell.

Works well, hardest part was getting old key fob open to get parts
1. The new key fob came with both pieces closed. Flip out the blank key and you can pry the batter case off the back. Next you can pull the two halves apart to get started.2. To get the circuit board and key from my old broken key fob (button cover broken from pressing over the years) I put the key fob in a vise and cut the seam on the side away from where the key flips out with a hack saw. It opens in about 2-3 mins this way. Pop it open with a screwdriver once you have the seam open.3. I had to use a punch to get the pin out of my old key, you can probably use a hammer and small nail. I did mark the side facing out with sharpie to keep the orientation of the key correct. You'll need to use a punch to get the blank key out of the new key fob. Then connect your old metal key part to the new hinge by punching the pin into the new hinge.4. Use the new parts that come with the new key fob, don't reuse the original metal hinge or the old spring. Follow the video (I think it's like the 5th thing where you can find more details on the product) and you should have a working replacement key in about 15 mins.

Key saver
Very easy to use. Literally saved me a couple of hundred dollars. The buttons get worn out on the Chevy keys and I would just go to the dealership and purchase program a new one.

Good alternative, but may need to cut key blanks to fit.
Good alternative for replacement fobs. Easy to exchange parts from existing fobs into the new ones at a fraction of the cost from a dealership. Solid housing and sturdy buttons. Please note that the laser cut key on some older models may not fit the news accordingly, so you may have to get the new blanks cut. This can be done at a local hardware store. O
