I recently tried by Amazon Strong White Flour, 1.5kg for baking bread at home, and it’s quickly become my go-to flour for every loaf. The texture is nice and strong, just what you want when making bread. It produces dough with great elasticity and structure — I’ve had excellent rise and crumb every time. Whether I’ve made a classic white loaf or a seeded sourdough, this flour performs consistently well. I also like that it’s packaged in a generous 1.5kg bag that stays fresh between bakes. The flour itself feels clean and finely milled, and it mixes smoothly without clumping. No weird after-taste, nothing gritty, just reliable, high-quality strong flour that gives professional-style results at home. I usually buy a supermarket brand , but recently they almost doubled the price. This one was recommended by my son ( he buys everything from Amazon Basics) , and I have to say I am very surprised . The flour not only comes with an excellent price but is definitely a great value for money. I love to bake and also I want to know what I am eating ( no unnecessary preservatives and other stuff like in the store bought bread). I tried it and made my own bread . the result was better than expected. First the dough raised higher than with my usual flour , second the result was so smooth and the most important : tasty. It is very good if you bake your own bread or buns. Shelf life is also quite good, but after the excellent results you wont stop baking if you are like me. It is good if you want some success .

Great value flour, excellent results

Good flour I think for pastry but wouldn't use for cakes, unless you resort it to make it refiner and lighterHowever for the price cannot go wrong.

This plain flour by Amazon was great. It’s cheap, good quality, and worked perfectly for what we needed it for. We mainly used it for our Gousto recipes and had no issues at all. It behaved exactly as plain flour should, no surprises, no problems, and good results every time. For the price, it’s hard to fault. Simple, reliable, and I’d happily buy it again.

The bread flour is absolutely fine and cheaper than buying from the supermarkets.. Maybe though I was unlucky with delivery 📦 because the first one was a spit bag of flour in numerous places.. inside a cardboard box. I told amazon and they sent me replacement free of charge. I think there could be an issue with split bags due to the weight of the flour and fragility of the bag that holds it.. if you drop the box 📦 on the floor, for sure the bag will end up split and your flour inside the box. Time will tell

Bought 2 bags in February this year and as we do a fair amount of home baking, it lasted until late last month. It's ideal for all our needs. Made coffee cakes, brownies, pancakes, even angel food cake. All came out fluffy, moist and just delicious. I'll be resupplying soon, but noticed a delay in delivery... So, I'll wait a wee bit longer...

The box was undamaged but on opening it I noticed loose flour. 2 of the bags were split and had to be taped up. The paper is thinner than other brands. I’ve used this product before and it’s good flour but needs more careful packing and more robust packaging. Perhaps this reflects the price as it’s great value.
