For once I didnt have to send back a pair of footwear
I measure my feet in cm because it's consistent more so than sizes in footwear. Went for UK size 8.5 (which is suppose to be 27 cm, which are the size of my feet) and they fit perfectly.Have had them in rain and walked a bit along a shore and the water just ripples of. It's neat to look at.The only thing is that they chafed a bit on the top of my ankle at the beginning. Not so much anymore. Have had them for about a month now and still going.Deffo can recommend these!

I can't believe a stylish boot keeps your feet dry and toasty!
Bought as a snow boot for an Icelandic holiday in December. - worried if it was really waterproof but, perfect, always dry feet and cosy toes. Even in unseasonably big snow.Look pretty smart with jeans or chinos.I had a pair of Scarpa SLs with me which were great on the glacier but always looked like a climbing boot.Have taken to wearing them (The Timberland) in the currently wet weather in the UK - great for keeping your feet (stylishly) dry.Worth while buying the Waximum Waxed Leather Protector to keep them looking good.(if anything go for a half size bigger to accommodate a warmer sock)

excellent boot
I am really hard on boots, walking our dogs in the forest & beach daily. The boots are comfortable & hard wearing. A quick wipe clean with regular applications dobbin & then waterproof spray keeps all in order- I am vey pleased so far

Excellent shoes that will last decades.
Excellent shoes. Very high quality materials put together very well. Initially uncomfortable, but this is to be expected with leather shoes. Now they're worn in they're easily my comfiest shoes. Really great in cold and wet weather. Receive compliments on them all the time.Initially the sole squeaked quite loud on glossy or wet surfaces but this stops after a bit of wear.

If you're gonna wear boots, you wanna wear these..
These boots arrived today and with a name like Timberland, of course, they arrived as expected, top quality. These are, in my opinion, probably the best boots you can buy. I'd like to tell you that I'd buy another pair, but I'll never need to. I should still be wearing these boots when I turn 70..

Extremely poor sole
Having worn Timberland Classic boots for many years, I purchased these at the end of March 2014 for daily use walking the dog. Initially, I was extremely happy. They are probably the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. Now, after just over three months of use, the heel has completely worn away. I usually walk between 6 and 8 miles a day on pavements, beaches, sandhills and forest tracks.The heel is now so worn that the boot has become unstable. This in no way justifies them being called "rugged". If you want comfortable boots for occasional use, these might be good for you. If you want boots to last, steer clear.After 3 1/2 months of use, I cannot reasonably return them, but I shall be contacting Timberland separately to complain.

Sturdy and waterproof - great boots
Great boots - sturdy and fully waterproof. The first 3 days are very painful whilst wearing in but day 4 is tolerable, week 2 is fine, by week 3 they're like slippers.They look great, but make sure you buy some wax to keep them waterproofed and also looking good. Would recommend.

good purchase
Soo damn comfy, Quick to deliver and good for the weather. Can not find black Timberlands in the shops but exactly what I was after online. Did check my size at a Timberlands shop first to make sure o ordered right size.
