Spending time with Tiffany Haddish
I couldn't wait to have free time during my day to keep reading her. Her honesty, wits, personality, sense of humor shined on every page. To read her is to love her.

FUNNY BOOK
I read a lot of reviews and some people complained about the profanity and the grammatical errors. LOL, you are reading a Tiffany Haddish book, what do you expect? She curses a lot and the grammatical errors are not really errors if that's how she speaks in her daily life. She keeps the verbiage true to how she really is and I appreciated that. It made the book even funnier to be able to read her story and to picture her having a conversation with another person while using her own words, ebonics, slang, profanity, and all. The way the book is written, the dialogue, and the grammar are purposeful in my opinion. Is it vulgar at times? Yes, but she is keeping it real and I don't think she should change that now. There are times of course that a person has to show some decorum but in her private life, I don't see why she needs to change that. I grew up in New York so I am familiar with how blacks and Latinos speak and this does not make us less intelligent than anyone else. This is just a way of life when you grow up inner city or in "the ghetto" and I say that proudly. There is no shame in growing up poor either if you work hard to better yourself. Aside from that, the book is great because it really outlines her entire life, her struggles, her thoughts, and her rise to fame while still showing the kind of person she is to this day, humble, deserving and hard-working. I highly recommend the book to those that will not be offended by the language and if you are then why buy it in the first place?

Hilarious and painful and profound
I love Tiffany Haddish. I really do. She’s beautiful and funny and can tell a story like nobody’s business. Those storytelling skills make this book what it is. Reading this will make you angry at all the people who took advantage of her early in her life, but if you’re like me, you’ll also laugh when you read about how she turned the tables on them as she made her way through life. She’s so honest and upfront about the kinds of things that so many of us would rather take to our graves that you instantly want Tiffany to pop out of the book and be your best friend. They say that if you can’t laugh at yourself then you miss out on all the best jokes. Tiffany can definitely laugh at herself. She can take a joke just as well as she can dish them out, and she is such a precious human being. As I started to notice Tiffany more on TV, I used to wonder if that was her real personality. Now I know that it is. She is a 100% genuine human being and I love her for it.It’s been a long time since I’ve finished a book in two days but I literally couldn’t put this down. Her life grabs you by the shoulders and say “LOOK HERE.” The jokes almost wrote themselves. Almost. Tiffany’s real skill is in making all the humor seem effortless, and that’s a skill that so very few people have nowadays. This book was amazing. A beautiful, poignant read.

Honest!
I've read other autobiographies where the author doesn't reveal too much of themselves or of their pains and failures. Ms. Haddish does all of that with aplomb.Ms. Haddish pulls back the curtain and reveals herself without the makeup. This book is a testament to her bravery and her realness. She doesn't seek your sympathy or your approval, she just seeks your understanding. This book was a very easy read. One can breeze through it in one sitting. Mostly because it's so interesting.

Everything she talked about is real. Reality. Realistic. 100%
I loved everything she spoke and her. No dislikes. I just absolutely love everything about her, what's to dislike.

What a crazy life...
I love Tiffany Haddish. She's so funny, a really great actress, and she's lived quite the crazy life. There are so many stories in this book that could be their own books if she expounded on the details more. This is a good read. 3 stars cause of some weird formatting in regards to when people were speaking; it kind of loses the flow. The stories skipped around quite a bit, and I'd sometimes be a little lost, not knowing if we were still reading about her as a child or her at 20.

SHE READY!
Tiffany Haddish is the first celebrity to write a book while her star continues to rise. From my experience from reading many celebrity memoirs, most of them write their life stories when their careers are on the tail end or a crisis has happened. Not so with Tiffany, "SHE READY!" and she is ready NOW! To do what? To show the world who she is, who she has been, and what she hopes to be moving forward... and no doubt to cash-in while her star is HOT!As I read this memoir, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Tiffany is krazy with a "K." The way the book is written it's definitely ADHD status (no pun attended), but it jumps around a lot, but it's PERFECT! Why? Because it works! It fits Tiffany's personality! If it were written any other way it would not come across as authentic. I can tell Tiffany meant for it to be funny, but at other times, some things that occurred in her life was no laughing matter. For instance, having an absentee father and a mother with a mental illness is a lonely world for a girl to grow up in. In addition to the emotional and mental neglect was the repeated physical abuse she endured by her mother and husband, and even from the kids in foster homes.Still, Tiffany is a survivor in every way, with a determination not to ever give up! She fights her way through ridicule, abuse, and a male-dominating industry, in order to make her way to the top. She's a raw talent whose honesty is identifiable by the average person. In life, we can be a "Betty Downer" or a "Winnie Woe is Me" or we can learn from our experiences and use them as a way to learn and heal as Tiffany did. Some of us learn by vicariously living through others and some of us learn from hands-on experience, Tiffany is the latter. She's learning and she is growing from her experiences.I enjoyed the book for the laughter and fun, but most of all for its honesty and the way it was written like a conversation between two girlfriends.I wish Tiffany continued success!

Humour is a defensive mechanism
This is a very humbling read. I get that people see “Tiffany Haddish” and expect this book to be so hilarious they will wet themselves from start to end (and don’t get me wrong, you will laugh out loud at many anecdotes!) but not unlike the most successful comedians in history, Haddish has developed her superb sense of humour as a way to defend herself psychologically, emotionally and physically from very precarious situations. This memoir recounts some of the traumatic events in her life that have shaped Tiffany Haddish into the extraordinary woman and performer she is today.I see a lot of people who have given this book a poor review because it addresses dark subjects that doesn’t make THEM laugh and to them I say “shame on you!” This is not advertised as a work of fiction and no one on earth should feel so entitled as to believe they can dictate the terms on which someone else is allowed to talk about their own life story. If you were truly interested in Tiffany Haddish as a human being, you would appreciate the honour of being told these stories AT ALL! If you merely think of here as a character then watch her movies.People are not only who you want them to be and they come with a lot of baggage. This is certainly the case for Tiffany Haddish. But that doesn’t mean they should be dismissed as being “damaged” or “broken” because that is definitely NOT the case with Tiffany Haddish. If the violence in this book makes you uncomfortable, you might want to look inwards and ask yourself why. If the fact that a woman went through so much hardship and came out the other end a beautiful, radiant, positive and successful comedian angers you because that is not the book you wanted to read, you should check your privilege and perhaps read the book again for a lesson in resiliency.

Great read
I've read many biographies and they seem to follow a pattern where you either come away loving the person, disliking the person or just indifferent. I'm truly happy to say that I came away LOVING Tiffany Haddish.I never really cared for her too much as she came across as a loud mouth comedian, but in retrospect when reading her biography I found her to be an honest, funny, amusing and just all round awesome human being.Thank you Tiffany for sharing your journey. It was appreciated.

Amazing read.. She dug deep into her life and opened everything for us to take inspiration from. She showed the courage to overcome all that negativity and bad people in her life and give reply with her success.
