Napiers Calendula Flower Skin Cream - Natural & Gentle Moisturiser for Face and Body - Soothes Dry, Irritated Skin - 100ml

I used this product after the anti fungal cream prescribed wasn’t getting results.

Here we have a glass jar of Calendula Cream.Calendula is a kind of marigold which is said to help with inflammation and irritation.It smells like other skin creams, but more herbal and maybe a little like proving dough so I don't think it has too much added to it beyond whatever it needs.At the moment I have some rough and irritated skin on my arms from not paying enough attention while shaving, so I've been trying this out to help.On the one hand, my skin feels smoother after using this cream, on the other it's more itchy soon after use.

The cream seems nice, but I'm disappointed that the cap has been changed to cheap looking plastic rather than the metal shown in the photos. It looks cheap and I wouldn't want to give it as a gift like this

This cream is lovely and soothing for sore or dry skin. It is very moisturising and effective. It has a subtle scent which is not overpowering. This is a useful and versatile cream that lasts for a long time.

I’m really impressed with this moisturising cream.It’s sold for dry or chapped skin and doesn’t specify which ‘body’ parts it’s to be used on, so I’m assuming everywhere! I used it on my face last night and again this morning and it’s just lovely.I wasn’t familiar with the brand but a bit of research shows that they’ve been around for years and are very reputable.I’ve made my own skin creams in the past so have a passing familiarity with ingredient lists and the ingredients of this cream are just wonderful, marigold/calendula of course, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, olive oil derivatives, glycerine and a few emulsifiers to mix the oil and water phases.Most notably, there are no synthetic oils or silicones. This of course means you don’t get the ‘slip’ that you do with commercial creams, but personally I prefer a proper cream that soaks in fully and doesn’t stay slippery on the skin.It leaves a lovely moisturised but not greasy feel, and make up goes on top beautifully.Finally, the pot is 100ml! More than you usually get for such a cream - and I’m glad - this means it’ll last for ages and since I’m thoroughly enjoying it, it’s a massive positive.

This pot of calendula cream comes in a glass jar with a screw top lid. It has a clear label on it with easy to read text and the branding and bottle makes it look stylish, modern and premium. The jar size is 100ml so it is nice and big. The cream has a lovely thick consistency and rubs in well so a little should go a long way and it should last ages. The cream is specifically targeted at those who suffer from dry, cracked or irritated skin so would be ideal for use in the winter months in particular. You can apply the cream directly on to the dry/cracked/irritated skin and it does provide instant relief and a moisturising effect. The cream has no scent and contains various natural herbal ingredients as well as the active calendula.It makes my skin feel nourished and hydrated.

A review from the wife... This is a very thick moisturiser which takes a bit of time to absorb into the skin. I have very dry skin and this does keep it moisturised all day. The fragrance reminds me of the smell of saffron. I'm not a huge fan of this scent but it isn't hugely unpleasant either. The moisturiser works well to keep my skin soothed. You get quite a small bottle which is priced at £14.95, which I think is a bit on the high side.

I've been using it on my hands in the morning and before bedtime and I've noticed an immediate improvement.It's really rich, with no obvious scent (perfect for my skin as it's prone to sensitivity) and absorbs easily into my skin without any greasy residue.The pot contains 100ml, which should last well as I don't need to use loads. The presentation is really classic , with the cream coming in a glass jar with a screw top lid.At £14.95, at time of review, it's not cheap but it's so effective that it's worth every penny.
