LIGHT MY DARKEST HOUR
Living in northern California one thing is a guarantee, the power company (he who shall not be named) at some point is going to cut your power. You don't know when it's going to happen exactly, but you do know it's coming. This is why I started looking for something to illuminate those nights when I'm stuck in the dark. That's when I came across this lantern, and I have to say I'm quite impressed. Honestly I just wanted something that would light up brightly enough, and that was it. What I got was something that exceeded my expectations, this thing is a thoughtfully designed product that is a true testament to foresight. Man this thing has so many useful mounting/holding/hanging options. Firstly it has handles that swivel up into a position that you can hold. Secondly it has magnets on the bottom so you can stick it to a metal surface and use it that way. Lastly you use the hood it has to hang it and light up an area. Awesome right well it also has several settings to help you out with your lighting needs I would have been happy with just the lantern settings, but man you also get a beam, flashing red light and a slower blinking mode with I googled and is actually S.O.S in morse code (no joke). Also the flashlight button is "smart" if you keep it in a mode for long enough another button press makes it turn off. If you click the button quickly it actually goes to the next mode, really convenient. All lights are bright and do a good job of illuminating the area I included a pic of it operating in the day so you can see how this guy handles it's business. One last thing I would like to say this thing is fun to use when you do engage the lantern feature, you pull it by the handles to open it up and reveal the lit lantern, do you know what that feels like for somebody who grew up in the 80's? It feels like you're Optimus freeken prime opening up the matrix of leadership. Hold this thing sideward and try it out for yourself you'll see what I mean. I'm not kidding, I do it for fun every once in a while it's just great!!! Did I mention that you get two of these bad boys how great is that? Use one for the house, and keep one in the trunk of your car. I love this little guy.

Great lanterns/ flashlights for the price
The light from the lanterns are extremely bright. It has handles so you can use them as lanterns. They also have a button to use them as flashlights. They were sent with expensive batteries. Although they are not very large, they are awesome. We gave two of them as Christmas table gifts and both recipients were thrilled with them. Definitely would purchase them again.

Fantastic lighting
These take 3 ordinary AA batteries, and work well on rechargeables. The lantern gives off a lot of light, and can be dimmed a bit by closing it partway. The unit also doubles as a flashlight out the top, activated by a button on the side near the top. The bottom includes a fold-out hook that you can use to hang it from the top of a tent ceiling or whatever. The bottom also has 3 magnets to let you stick the lantern onto the side of something metal. One drawback to those is that if you put it on dirt, the magnets pick it up and it can be a little hard to clean it off.

Best purchase for simple light.
Made a gym in my garage and overlooked the fact that if I work all day it will be dark when I get home to use it. One of these lanterns was more than bright enough to light up the room for me. Really good for camping as well. Feels well made and easily able to be hung anywhere. Great investment for the price.

Bright Compact Lantern
This lantern gives off a bright light. The lantern is compact and easy to operate. I use them in the event of power outages. I bought these a few years ago; but accidents happen and they fell off the counter and broke. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this lantern set!
Like many others I wanted to make sure that I was prepared for the winter snap of 2026 and I bought this set of lanterns as a backup light source for the impending power outages. I am incredibly impressed with the functionality, price point, and how completely well suited these are for household emergency preparedness! Check out my video to see the features for yourself, but a quick run through- DESIGN/AESTHETIC: this may sound silly, but what I really love about this set is that because they are both compact and clean and design. The don’t have any extreme two-tone features or have excessive bulk. They are a medium cherry red, and are both conspicuous enough to locate an emergency while clean enough in design that am compelled enough to keep them every room long-term for emergencies (not just when we all have 10 stacks of bottled water and emergency gear flooding our living areas out for snowstorms.). They are also designed for surfaces or hanging, giving a lot of options for how to use or store them. You’ll see in my video that I show how I keep these attached to magnetic surfaces like under lamps where they can be immediately activated if the power goes out, in hanging locations, like household plant hangers, and portably as a walking lantern. EASE OF USE: probably most important to an emergency. These are not difficult to figure out how to open close or activate— nothing so complicated that you will forget if you don’t use them routinely, which is exactly what we all want for emergency gear. Even a child could navigate this in an emergency. I demonstrated the three core features in my. FEATURES: honestly you really couldn’t ask for more. Not only is this a 360 glow lantern, it has a dedicated flashlight that includes red strobe light, and blinking lights, which are fantastic emergency features (check out my video for a demo!). They even came with batteries for all three lanterns (nine total double A (AA) batteries, 3 per lantern), making them ready to go immediately. I really couldn’t recommend these more highly. I’m going to buy another set or two to add to more locations (including our household vehicles).

Great lanterns!!!
I bought these for snowmagdeon and they worked great. It was nice to have one in the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. We never loss power but would have been perfect. Much better than candles!!!!

Good size. Useful features. Not heavy duty quality, but enough for a survival kit.
Perfect to add to power outage survival kit. One each for each member of the household. Mine came with Eveready batteries. It's great that it has multiple ways to carry/ use it. Hanging hook, magnets, handles on top and side. I used the magnets to affix it to my cooker hood when I had to cook in the dark. I used the hook to hang it up to light up a room. I set it on the table, when I didn't have anywhere to hang it. The main lantern light is quite bright and can hurt the eyes, especially in the dark. You can adjust how much of the lantern you want to open, but opening it just a little is still quite bright. I put a lamp shade over it to soften the light when relaxing. The flashlight feature is not so bright, but fine. I've not had to use the red light features (and hope I never have to).
