Good value
Arrived well packaged, no damage. Connection was simple. You need a water source similar to what you would use for a refrigerator with an ice maker. You need about a 1 inch drain opening. You need a 110v source for power. It comes with a short set of supply and drain lines. It also comes with a water filter. I replaced the water filter with a quick change filter from local BB store. Also purchased longer supply and drain lines while I was at it. Hookup was simple as I had a location where everything was available, water, drain, and power.Machine made ice right away. Simple to start and stop. Quality of ice is excellent. The storage tray is not refrigerated but when full it will hold ice and keep cold. When in use the ice will slowly melt and new ice will form on top. When not in use, simply shut it off and empty the ice, or just let it melt. Clean cycle is simple and easy to do.Durably built exterior. Well insulated. Quiet operation.Added note: I built a stand for it to sit on. Makes it easy to get ice without having to bend over. We fill coolers and ice bags and it’s much easier when the door is about chest height.

Unit failed a few months after installation.
Unit worked great when initially installed. However unit has only been in operation for a few months and no longer makes ice. Appears to be refrigerant leak as all other functions appear to work.

Amazing Savings!
Works great! I need tons of ice for SxS riding, parties, and brewing beer and this thing makes it fast! I have a giant chest freezer that can hold up to fifteen 16 lb bags so it is always full. It has paid for itself at least 3 or 4 times now with the amount of ice I have made. And my neighbors, friends, and family love it. Whenever I head over to someone's place, I am the ice man!

Couldn't be happier.
So, I'm a fiber artist and need ice to make my art. I can't call the business "ice cold dyes" without the ice part. Anyway, I was spending at least 300 a year on ice, so I figured I'd give this a shot.I like to think I'm competent at most things. I'm not a plumber, but I've Plumbed if you get the idea. Unboxing is easy, it's kind of awkward to move as it's heavy and a lot of it is made of plastic. I don't have a hole in the basement floor, so I had to elevate it. I used a milk crate and the wood it came on in the packaging to get it off the ground so water could drain.I bought a Y shaped hose splitter with individual on/off knobs. I also had to buy a 1" to 3/4" adapter. Attached to the cold water line for my washing machine, hung the filter in the wall, and plugged the line into the ice machine. This process took all of 10 minutes. You turn it on and it flashes zero. You can press up or down. Up means more time in the base cycle (thicker cubes). Down means less. I am finding -4 is about right for my art. It's easy to use. There's probably more features but I don't need em.It's fast. Almost too fast. I will turn it on and it will be full in... No more than 90 minutes? I haven't actually timed it.Getting it out quickly is not happening. I'm going to order a metal scoop because the plastic one that came with it feels like it's gonna break. But whatever. It works, it's quiet, and the blue light makes me feel like I'm in a spaceship. If it lasts a year, it's more than paid for itself. If it lasts 2 and breaks, I'd buy another if I can't fix it.

Fairly Happy
The media could not be loaded. It took a bit to figure out how to connect it to our fridge water line. We needed to go get an extra adapter. Then it was a little bit of a struggle to figure out the ice thickness settings as the book is in broken English. However, once we figured it out, it's been making ice with no problem. The only issue we see is, not all the ice mold sections get water over them to make an ice cube. For the price, it's a good little ice maker!

Poor quality control
I’m generally satisfied with VEVOR products but this one is just awful.First, right out of the box there were scratches everywhere. The box was undamaged so the scratches didn’t come from shipping. It was packaged well, that’s the only positive. The paint on the outer panels is odd. It feels like that plastic protective film but there’s no film and it just makes more scratches when you try to remove the non-existent film. When I went to install it, I noticed that inside of the bin, the ice tray that freezes the water was crooked. Doing some digging, I found that there are four set screws holding it to the back panel and none were holding it in place. Two were missing even. I was able to squeeze my hand down into the water tray and found one of the missing screws that was stripped out. It didn’t rattle out, it was completely stripped and whoever assembled it just didn’t care. I found the second screw lodged in the drain at the bottom of the bin. To get it out, I needed to access the drain behind the rear panel.Upon removing the rear panel, I found that the drain WASN’T EVEN CONNECTED! This would have caused flooding because this is not an ice storage bin, it’s a collection bin, and the ice melts because there’s no refrigeration in the machine. Next, the copper lines going to the freeze tray were very small but the holes into the machine were very large….for some reason, they have some sort of washer or cover plate to go over the holes but they weren’t sealed or glued to the back panel at all so outside air can go in and out much easier, causing any ice (if it actually works) to melt much quicker. Lastly, the water line connections are not standard. I tried three different brass connectors to get this thing to connect and I finally just gave up because of all the issues I’ve had with it. I was able to get water into the machine but it was spraying everywhere like a water park. What I’ve learned is that these inexpensive machines are all poor quality and you just have to get a real name brand commercial machine to get the results you’re expecting.

I think it has paid for itself.
I've used this every day for several months now. Flawless, so far.I empty it every morning for work and it's full when I get home.It has saved me $3-4 dollars a day. I no longer buy bags of ice.
