I didn’t know chalk could be bad...surprise, surprise!
I was a firm believer that the brand of chalk doesn’t make a difference, that basically all chalk was created equal and marked up based on the notoriety of the producer.Enter Felson chalk. After continually miscuing after applying moderate amounts of draw, I started to wonder if this chalk was the culprit. Well, I wiped the tip clean, applied some Master chalk, ball drew just fine. Wiped the tip clean again, applied this chalk, miscued. Multiple times I tried this to be sure. This stuff is going in the garbage and shouldn’t be purchased by anyone except for bars with that one neglected bar box way in the back to go along with the 4 other bent cues, 2 of which don’t even have tips anymore.

Not the greatest...
This chalk is weird. I know that isn't very descriptive, but I'm not exactly sure how to explain it. It's almost like it takes more chalk OFF than it puts on... It's gritty, it's rough... No one likes it. We have three different brands of chalk around the pool table and everyone avoids this one. Literally everyone.

This is Bar chalk and lasts much longer but MISCUES constantly, WAY TO HARD
This chalk would be good for bars where it's on house cues, it's garbage but it lasts long, it's a smaller cube size than our usual M brand, and I figured ehh why not .. I started using this chalk and the first cube went right back in the box .. miscues on 3 different hardness tips, it won't stick at all to a phenolic break tip almost.. these are meant for bars where they just want to get more life on house cues.. this chalk is way to hard to properly use english and trust it in real game play. GREAT FOR BARS TO SAVE MONEY, BUT DON'T USE IT IN A REAL MATCH UNLESS YOU ENJOY MISCUES.

Works great for our black felt pool table
We redid the felt for our pool table in the youth center of our church and needed a non-standard color for the chalk. We ordered this, and it has been amazing! It lasts forever (assuming the teens don't lose the pieces) and doesn't mark up our beautiful felt unnecessarily! We had a the guy installing the felt give us some tips: don't twist & drill the pool cues into the chalk. Instead, you just want to kind of hit/brush the chalk on the tip with glancing blows. He said it will be more effective and last way longer. It's worked so far!

Messy, messy, messy...
While very effective in its intended purpose, it is very crumbly and soft. It leaves chalk dust everywhere, and doesn't last very long. I started with a new cube, and 4 hours later I was literally 1/3rd of the way through that cube. I have used Master chalk in the past and I usually get 3 to 4 months of use out of those chalk cubes. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star, is because it does seem to give excellent "traction" on the cue ball.

I gave it one star because the system won’t accept zero stars.
This chalk is horrible. When I received it I expected it to adhere to my cue tip just like the Masters brand but I had to grind it really hard against the tip to even get a small amount of chalk to stick. I miscued several times using this chalk. I would never buy it again or recommend it to anyone. I only bought it to begin with because it would arrive faster than the Masters brand and the masters brand I had was blue so I needed red fast to match my felt.

Does not adhere to tip
Bought this because reviews good. Tried it, and had another team member also try, and it didn't adhere. Actually fouled by mis-stroke on any English shot. Also noticed, as someone else also commented, that the chalk came off my cue tip in little hunks. Went immediately back to me previous chalk and no issues.

It is blue
I bought this chalk because I thought the reason I am a sucky pool player is I didn't have any chalk.....well I got the chalk and I STILL SUCK.

Low quality chalk for your cueI
I was not impressed with the consistency of the chalk when I'd applied it to my cue. The chalk was brittle and quickly wore down the felt tip as a result.I don't recommend this chalk at all as there are several softer, more easily applicable chalks on the market.

Doesn't really stick to my cue tip
I recently purchased some pool equipment, and I am pretty new to playing. My cue is a cheap $20 one, and the tip was pretty rough when I received it. I don't know if it's the cue's fault or the chalk's, but it does not really stick to the tip, especially around the middle areas. Since I'm not 100% sure, I cant' fault the chalk without buying a new tip and seeing if it's better. I'll update this review when that happens.

Hard as nails
Not much more to say than the headline. Buy different chalk - this stuff is terrible. My kids just have a multigame table (from China) but the chalk that came with it is 10X better than this stuff.

Quick shipment and excellent product!
Won't say the best chalk but still excellent especially for its price tag. I order it Saturday at 10pm and received it Sunday at 9am. Wonder if the seller living next door! Very happy with my purchase.

More pink than red
Disappointed with this purchase.A great pink chalk but ordered red to match the new cloth. And as Amazon prices are continuing to increase I will return to buying from local stores. Some of my recent purchases have doubled in price. You had a good run Amazon, next?
