Since it's Ka-bar, does that mean this is a fighting spork?

I meeeeeaaaaaaaaaaannn... it DOES separate into a knife. How willing are you fighting someone with a plastic steak knife? But no. I do not recommend bringing this into a fight. Unless this is the only thing on your person/ within arms reach. Do I recommend it then? Maybe. Please, don’t settle on a $7 solution. Go buy a right and proper knife MADE for fighting.

How would you sharpen the blade of the knife when necessary?

I don't know if this question is a joke or not. Do you actually have one of these Sporks? It's a very nice tool for camping out and eating with. It is not made of metal, therefore you cannot ever waste your time trying to sharpen it. If you want a sharp knife you might want to bring one from your kitchen.
