PULOX Po Pulse Oximeter with Color Display and Alarm, Software Included for Long Time Recording

I purchased this unit on the basis that it was medically certified, as I needed to be able to directly compare the readings from it with those gained from visits to the doctors. The unit is compact in size and fits easily over the finger, one press of the button rotated the display to ease reading, but getting any more out of the unit - well, that's where the fun started! Amazon state that the manual is in both German and English - it wasn't - it was only in German. Rather than admit defeat, research identified that a re-badged version existed and that the manual for this was available in both languages.The unit has a mini-USB connector for connection to a pc, however, THIS DOES NOT WORK IF YOU USE A STANDARD USB LEAD, you HAVE to use the USB lead supplied with the unit (the mini-USB socket on the unit is actually a serial port) and the cable contains a serial-USB converter, which Windows 10 should recognise and install - my W10 x64 did not install the drivers correctly, though the W10 x86 version did. For those needing the 64-bit drivers, go to the Silicon Labs website at silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers.The supplied software works well and allows for far more detail than the small display on the unit.Battery life is good with excellent standby time, with the internal battery being recharged when connected to its USB lead and a power source (any USB charger). A year down the line and it's still working fine, with no problems experienced to date.

Blood Oxygen is a must for me been a suffer of Asthma and COPD overlap, I know when I need to take action and when to call an ambulance, very easy to use and install, would not be without it, this goes Hand-in-Hand with my Peak Flow Monitioring, I was hoping to buy a Blood Gas Monitoring but to Monitior Blood Gases I would need a needle like the Hospital use then sent to the Lab, and it is very painful, so at the moment I will put up with what I have so to keep control of my Asthma COPD overlap.the deleivery was very quick been within 24 hours or less, very please thank you.

Just received this today and find that the comprehensive manual is totally in German - not a lot of help. Also, the charging plug is European and not UK requiring an adaptor should you wish to use it.

Lovely pulse oximeter with various features. Unfortunately, the battery charging doesn't work and the battery can't be changed. I discovered this the first time the battery ran low - no matter how long left on charge via USB, it doesn't charge. As such it is functionally useless.
