Under 50c on my AMD 3900x cpu and msi motherboard while gaming. Fits well on my x470 MSI gaming motherboard. Got it on a sales dip, perfectly happy.

Doesn't come with LGA 1700 mounting bracket
I was attempting to install this water block on my Asus ROG Maximus Z790 HERO motherboard, and the mounting bracket isn't one compatible with the 13th Gen CPU motherboards (LGA 1700/Raptor Lake). Only works with previous-gen motherboards.

Blown away!
First off the pictures do not really show how nice this block actually looks. the fins are fairly large in comparison to my EK Supremacy, but look about the same size as my Thermaltake block. Haven't fully installed yet, but at this price This thing has surpassed my expectations. I will update as the build progresses, but initial impressions are very good.

Ok
Box was old and damaged, but the product seemed ok. Did not fit my 1700 series so I sent it back. Didn’t list compatibility on the listing.Amazon returned with zero headache. Amazon is the undisputed leader in e commerce. Won’t shop anywhere else. Thx Amazon

Horribly Concave Base
Pretty straight-forward design like all modern AM4 water blocks utilizing micro channels and a restricter/"velocity" plate. Problem is the base is extremely concave. I was having strange cooling issues. Took a razor blade to the base and it was pretty bad. You can tell by the lapping pictures it took my wearing through a lot of material before the base was completely flat. The block also had some weird anomaly. It's like they either soldered in some thin shim, or they nickel plated, then copper plated, and then finally nickel plated again. I don't see how something like this makes it through ANY QC process. The mounting system leaves a LOT to be desired. One "nut" had the threads messed up and made threading in the bolt very difficult. Honestly, for the price, this mounting system is a joke.I'm still using it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Buy it. Quality is unsurpassed.
I use it in conjunction with an old school EK motherboard block. Phanteks has old school EK quality updated to modern aesthetics. Block is symmetrical, and ports appear to be direction-agnostic . It will accept large fittings. The cold plate is rather large. With an eye to modding, this can likely be adapted to 7nm chip applications, which have increased package sizes relative to AM4, AM3+ and below. There should be enough cold plate here to mate to those integrated heat spreaders.Overall really cool unit (lol). I debated long and hard about Raystorm, Heatkiller, Eisblock options with budget, flow restriction, aesthetic, and thermal performance in mind. Runner up was the Raystorm base model , which has enormous budget value.

Performs well! Lighting is like not bad.
It indeed has a good potential for overclocking. And easily installed, looks pretty good with other rigs. But the only problem is that led is not strong enough for led lights for getting out through the tempered glass. And yeah I know it's because of the magnetic thingy on the front, and you can remove it easily. But it kinda put me down after I put everything together and Sync it with my board. But overall, It perfectly sync with my Asus motherboard and performs well. So I'll give it a four star.

Great customer service
I just wanted to give a shout out to Phantek's customer service. I accidentally ordered the Intel instead of the AMD/AM4 version. I sent their support team an e-mail and they helped me get just the adapter bracket. $12 I think. In any event, really nice to have actual support for PC accessories these day. I appreciate it.

Looks used
Got to say Block looks stunning but, box looks like it had been dumped in a corner for years. All reviews I have read saying how well presented it looks, Well? (see pictures). Over all not impressed, will be keeping it to finish my PC build. But very disappointing packaging looks used to me. To add to this two days later and I just found one screw cracked can't install.

Keine Kaufempfehlung

3 months later...
Started out well but then 3 months later, I noticed a BUNCH of cracks on the block. How is this even possible?? I have a pressure relief adapter on my reservoir so there is no pressure build up in the loop, even when the water heats up. Nothing else in the system has cracks, only the CPU block. Very disappointed in the quality!
