These are awesome!
These work great! I use them on two of my kitties who hate to have their claws trimmed, so that I can increase the amount of time between trimmings. They appreciate not having to have their claws trimmed as often as the other kitties, and the rest of us appreciate not being scratched ;)They are easy to apply, even if it's just one person doing it. One of the kitties who needs these is a challenge, but I'm still able to get these on by myself. Most kitties would probably take a medium, one of mine takes medium, the other one takes small. There isn't a huge difference in the two sizes, so if you're in doubt and it isn't for a kitten, I'd start with the medium. The key to getting these to stay on is to not trim the claw as far down as you normally would, just clip off the end part where it starts to curve. That gives more surface for the glue to stick to, and really does help them stay on longer.

Great, humane and stylish way to save your furniture, skin and walls!
I love the Soft Claws nail caps. Have used them in the past for other cats and for customers of my grooming business, always with great results. Have recently been using them on my kitten - started about 4 months of age with size small (although you may have to cut the caps down a bit at that age for a perfect fit) They are easy to apply, don't bother the kitten/cat and do their job very well. I only apply to front claws and a package of 40 usually last about 3 months. When kittens nails grow out she will usually start to chew on the cap and remove it, I let her remove them herself and just replace them when one comes off. No need to replace all at once, just replace them as they fall off. They are a big saver for my home, furniture, etc.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SOFT CLAWS Worth it.
So I wasn't going to review this item because there are so many conflicting reviews. What's one more opinion? That being said, I've dealt with this product for some time now having re ordered several times and will continue to do so even though I find it to be a slight pain and considering the amount of benefit you get from the product. In my opinion, this will not save your sofa, but it will delay the deterioration of furniture from nail sharpening. It will not prevent the occasional piercing of your skin from a single claw, but you will have a considerable amount less and you'll find the chasing of the foot under bed covers much more entertaining and less frightening. What you can expect are daily checking of the claws to make sure all the nails are covered. DO NOT rely on finding one on the floor. You will be surprised how much damage a single claw can do and if you start to get lackadaisical about it, you might as well save your money and not do anything. SO COMMIT! Become a nail Nazi. I have 2 cats and you will find no two situations will be the same. 1 of mine loses her nails at twice the rate of her brother. TWICE! I have been adamant about checking and replacing the nails and from what I've noticed, I can not discover the missing of a nail cover quick enough. My new sofa looks kinda crappy now, but without the soft claws it would look down right sh&%$##@. Also like I said, it is so much more fun playing with them now because they can't sink their claws into you ...until that one time you forget to check before you start playing with them..I am going to continue to buy this product because it is mostly worth it and I can't imagine not using them after doing so for so long. It is at least worth the price and to rip their claws out would change who they are. They are cat's and claws are part of the design. I will say this, which is very important, please read on how to trim their nails. You can really do a lot of damage. It is surprising to see how little you are suppose to trim off in order to not harm them. The whole point behind these is to be humane to your pet. Go that extra mile and research the proper way to trim their nails.

great buy
These little claw covers actually work very well. I made the mistake of getting some for my cats that were just a bit too small. If not sure what size to get I'd recommend going for a size above what you think because they can be cut to fit better. Overall very pleased with this purchase. Our leather couches will live another day.

Great idea, Terrible Glue
I love the idea behind this product. Declawings is made out to be inhumane, and this product is designed to give you all the benefits of having your feline declawed without the harmful side effects. The problem is that even though I trimmed my cats nails before hand, these fall off way to much. I have 3 cats, and within a BUISNESS WEEK (5 days) almost every single one of these was off of all of my cats nails. I tried to replace them, which was such a pain, wrapping my cats in a towel to hold them still so I could glue these on, but they just kept falling off.

Humans Get Fake Nails, Why Can't Cats?
We recently acquired a kitten for our family. She's a lovely little beast, but as all cats do, she loves to jump on furniture, claw at furniture and carpets, and attack me and anyone else who happens to be playing with her. To remedy this, myself and my family decided to give Feline Soft Claws Cat Nail Caps a try. We were pleasantly surprised. We decided on the purple caps, but have also purchased some pink ones as well. The caps were easy to put on and the adhesive has held them in place for over a week now.Our cat pretty much just sat there and let us put the caps on her, but when she started to walk, she gave the typical "fidget and kick" that cats do when they are on new turf. This went away after just a few steps, and she has adjusted quite well to them. Her toes look quite cute, as the purple and pink look excellent against her grey fur. It's also really cute to hear her run through the house, as her little nail caps lightly click on our floor. This is a safe and relatively inexpensive way to save your furniture from your favorite little beast. The alternative, declawing, has quite a few drawbacks, and our last cat that was declawed had major problems. We learned our lesson with that kitty, and we will never put our cats through that again.Highly recommended.
