A great investment
What a game changer!! This has been a lifesaver. The solar/battery combination is fantastic. We use it on "intermittent cycle" (3 hours running and 3 hours off) and the battery will last up to 3 days with very little sun on this cycle. The filter basket holds a good amount of debris. It has made a huge difference in the amount getting into our built in pool filters and does a great job of keeping our pool sparkling clean, even with heavy fall leaf-drop. It is super easy to use, and the app for remote start is actually really handy.

Keeps the pool clean and entertains our dog!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Keeps the pool clean and entertains our dog! This little pool skimmer is hands-down one of my favorite pool gadgets. Setup was super easy — just dropped it in and let it go. It quietly cruises around the surface picking up leaves, bugs, pollen, and all the random stuff that used to drive me nuts. My pool has never looked better! What I didn’t expect was how much my dog would love it too! She follows it around the pool like it’s her new best friend — it keeps her entertained for hours. It’s been surprisingly fun to watch. The battery lasts a long time, and I love that it’s solar-powered so I don’t have to constantly charge it. It’s low maintenance, works like a charm, and honestly feels like having a little pool assistant that never complains. Highly recommend!

A MUST HAVE POOL PRODUCT !!!!!!!!
I am really sorry that I did not know a product like this existed many years ago, it would have made owning a pool a really great thing indeed instead of the years of suffering I endured before this wonderful device came along. Before I discovered this pool cleaning robot, the surface of my pool was a daily chore of constantly grabbing the pool skimmer net and getting all the dead Bees, Flies, Leaves, the neighbors leaves and everything else that fell into my pool skimmed off the surface. Many times this was a twice a day chore depending on the season. The Betta SE Plus pool skimmer robot can clean 24/7, even at night with no sunlight to charge the device. It is WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!, and works exactly as described, its well made and charges sufficiently during the day to continue to cleaning the pool even in the darkness of night. I would highly recommend buying the BETTA SE PLUS pool skimmer as a must have pool cleaning tool that you can not live without. Another problem the pool skimmer has fixed for me as well is the problem of Bee’s landing in the water, then getting on the floating chairs and hiding in between the folds of the cloth back of the chair, then when someone sits on the chair they get stung in the back, this has happened to me twice and once to my grandchildren, it is really painful !! Since getting the BETTA SE PLUS Pool skimmer, the pool robot picks up all the floating bees that are still alive on the water surface and dead ones too, if the bees are still alive and can fly away they just get out the sides of the skimmer device and fly away to safety. Since I purchased the skimmer device I have not been stung by any bees. There are a lot of useless pool products that do not work out there, but this is definitely not one of them, I’ve owned my pool for 25 years and I can tell you that this is one of the BEST pool accessories ever invented, it’s basically like a Roomba robotic vacuum for your pool and it seems to know where the floating stuff is and goes after it. I am really glad that I bought this and it has saved me a load of work.

Impressive!!
We are SO in love with Betta! My elderly parents (80s and 90s) were really struggling with keeping their pool clean to the point where they were threatening to fill it in! Couldn't let that happen! I was concerned that this little guy sounded too good to be true but it's not only lived up to, it's exceeded expectations. The unit is basically set it and forget it (which was super important for us). Basically turn it on, set it in the pool, and let it go. You don't have to remember to charge it, or set it, or turn it on... the solar battery lasts long enough (sunny southern Calfornia summer, mind you) so that it runs all day long and all night long without any problems. It is SUPER quiet, lightweight, and unobtrusive... just lazily swims around picking up all little debris, keeping the pool cleaner than I ever remember seeing it! The filter/mesh is also really easy to clean out... just unclasp the top lid, lift it up by the handle, and rinse it off. It's quite fine too, finer than a normal manual skimmer, so picks up quite small leaves right along with the bigger ones. Note: there is no vacuum or suction function on this thing, which for some reason I was expecting... It basically has a little "windmill" like wheel in front of the skimmer basket that pushes leaves and debris into the basket as it makes its way around the pool. My anti-techy anti-spendy parents have commented several times "OMG, I wish we'd had this years and years ago!" and how much easier their pool maintaining lives are now. If that's not the most positive review, I don't know what is! :)

Works GREAT - was getting stuck on Polaris hose but i fixed that!
update- it's been nearly a year, I'm very happy with the robot. It's still performing great! I will check back / update in a week or so and most likely update this to a five star review from four stars, assuming that my adjustments to the Polaris hose have fixed the beta robot frequently getting stuck on the hose. (I’ve had it running seven days now). First off I was very surprised and happy with how well this unit cleans any debris from the surface of my pool, it actually cleans much better than I was doing myself going around with a net about once a day or every other day. A big part of that is because there is a very fine mesh in the basket of this beta, so it grabs much smaller items and, tiny little things that would pass through my net. And of course it does a better job cause it’s constantly running. I very much recommend getting the unit that allows you to plug it into the wall to charge occasionally, although I only have had to charge it once, and that’s when it first came in and I just did that as you’re always supposed to fully charge any lithium ion Battery/devices before first use. It has been a week now and the unit has constantly showed “good battery level” so the solar seems to be working great. (The only indication of battery level is the two blinking green lights on the front of the unit). I have cameras around my pool so it does look like the unit runs 24/7 , although I’m assuming at times it pauses/stops. I just haven’t happened to see that , as anytime I see it , It’s running. The only reason I’ve taken off one star is because the unit would very frequently get stuck on my Polaris hose to the point where you would have to dip down the hose or push the beta back for it to get unstuck, I even tried leaving it stuck for 12 to 24 hours and it would not get unstuck, however, I think I’ve now fixed that. The other reason for taking off a star, I’m assuming this unit has an accelerometer built into it, or even if it doesn’t - it really should have much better detection of getting stuck on something like the Polaris hose so that it would back out or never collide with it in the first place, however this is not the case as it will frequently get stuck on the hose. But the good news is, I was able to resolve this (at least as of the past three days), simply by moving around the floaters on the Polaris hose, in my case I was able to just slide them around so that as you can see in the photo, floaters are as close together as possible, right by the hose junctions which keeps a majority of the hose down below the water level, and the parts where the two floaters are very close together are high enough up that the beta now does not get stuck up on them . You can see in the photos I’ve attached to this review, these photos are after I’ve adjusted the hose floaters and in these photos, the betta absolutely would have gotten stuck on the hose before my hose adjustments, however, as you can see it is not getting stuck now. Also, this may be very important, I changed the timers around so that my Polaris vacuum / hose only runs at night assuming the betta might be sleeping at that point, I’ve also changed the Polaris/ hose to only run a few hours a day as there’s much less trash on the bottom anyway, as opposed to before I had it running about eight hours a day. If the Polaris is running during the day and the betta is also running at the same time, there’s a much higher chance the hose will ensnare the betta. However, I will update in a few days if this has not resolved the issue, and the betta is still constantly getting stuck, however, that does not seem to be the case. It seems like all is good now vacuum hose pool, vacuum hose weights that you can buy on Amazon, however, that does seem to be pretty useless, as they’re not heavy enough nor do they properly fit the hose but as you can see in my photo, I did stick four of the 8x weights wedged on the actual floaters - so they may be helping keep the hose below the water however, I’m more inclined to believe that *just* sliding the floaters closer together is all that is needed. It would be nice if there were a slightly more expensive beta version that allowed you to see how much battery charge is in the unit and possibly updated firmware as well as adjust the sensitivity or collision detection. (however that would have to be via an app most likely, and it would most likely have to be more expensive than the $350 I paid for my betta se). Bottom line, if my adjustments to the Polaris hose have stopped the beta from getting stuck on it then I’m super happy with this beta and will recommend it to others, however, if however, it should be noted that initially the unit would constantly get stuck on the hose as in every four hours or so. (Will update this review and my rating in the next week or so.) (Also it’s very cool / neat to see the little unit driving around the pool and getting close to the wall and then reversing and rotating ECT)

On My Second Betta SE Plus Strong Buy Recommended.
This is the second Betta SE Plus that I have ordered. The video shows the first one. I give this a strong buy if you are in the market for a robotic pool skimmer, it does the job very well. Be it leaves, bugs or floating pollen it does a great job of keeping the pool clean. I leave in SW Florida where I use the pool year around. My pool is in ground with a cage over the lanai. The pool is on the south side of house which means I get sun all year long on the pool. This helps the skimmer get the sun's rays directly year around. The Positives - It is great that the skimmer can function nearly 24 hours a day. It really does a good job and your pool will be cleaner from surface debris. I like that I can charge the skimmer by plugging it in when needed. Even in SW Florida with get periods of rain for days and the solar function will not be as efficient, so plugging it in for a few hours is a great help. Cleaning is simple and easy. I recommend daily or every other day taking the basket out and spraying it out from the garden hose. The negatives - The life span for this unit (at least in SW Florida) is just over a year. It became noticeable when the green flashing lights went out one by one. Then I noticed the unit was not running as long between charges. Finally it just when dead after the the one year warranty passed. However, the cost of the unit did save me hours of valuable time of cleaning/skimming by hand daily. Therefore, it paid for itself rather quickly on the time savings. Recommendation: If you live in an area where you can use your pool all or most of year I recommend purchasing the extended warranty. I did not do it for the first unit and I am regretting it. I did purchase the extended warranty for new unit. This is the reason I am giving it 4 stars out of 5. I wanted the unit to last longer than 14 months. I will see how the upgrades will work with new unit. One feature that I like is wire detangler in the front of the unit. Since I use another robot with a hose to clean the bottom of my pool once or twice a week this will help both units to function more efficiently. The video shows my first unit operating at night. This was important to me since my small insects get into my liana during the night and end up in the water. The Betta Skimmer cleans them and keeps the pool clean. I hope this review is useful and helpful.

Exceeds Expectations - UPDATED Review
Some up front info...I live in AZ and have a lot of mature trees in the yard including palms, 60' pines, and 75' eucalyptus trees. If you have experience with those you know how much litter they drop. In the spring we get a massive amount of leaves, needles, bark, and pollen in the yard. And when that stuff sits in the pool, yep, it turns green. As a result I would find myself skimming our 40x20 pool a few times a day trying to stay ahead of the algae. Enter the Betta! I purchased the Plus model which includes a plug-in charger as well as solar. Charging: From the moment I dropped this in the pool I have been thoroughly impressed. In AZ we get a lot of sun and this robot dutifully runs 24x7 - all day AND all night just from the solar charge. We did have a couple of cloudy days and sure enough it ran out of charge overnight on those days. So it definitely needs a lot of sun if you want uninterrupted performance. If you get clouds, make sure you get the Plus with the plug-in option. Performance: in a word, outstanding. When the robot is running I have only needed to skim out large clumps of needles or large debris a couple of times. The Betta handles everything else with ease. What I've noticed is the bot crisscrosses the pool, but frequently runs along the walls into the corners. This is perfect because that's where debris ultimately accumulates. Cleanup is easy - just empty and spray out the filter basket - a 3 minute job.For me the results are perfect. Each morning the surface is glassy and its 99% clean all day long. Excellent little machine and worth the expense - especially if you get a lot of debris in the pool. I also purchased the 3 year extended warranty through Betta since this is going to get a lot of use. It's been running for about 8 weeks and no issues to report. UPDATE - it's now September and we're just about done with monsoon season here. The Betta has had a busy summer and it performed flawlessly the entire season. We also returned from a 12 day trip where I left the Betta in the pool. I knew it would get overworked and when we returned the Betta was sitting and flashing red/green. This indicated the propellers were jammed. Sure enough they were jammed with debris. After removing the debris and cleaning it up it's running perfectly again. So the self-protection auto shutoff worked great. Fantastic design, function, and performance on this machine!

Works Just As Good as Reviews Say!
I have waited about 6 months to write this review. Long story short, it IS just as great as everyone says. I don’t have a lot of trees around my pool, but it still gets a ton of bugs, pollen, grass clippings, tiny leaves, etc. off my pool. This has saved us so so sooooo much time not having to skim the pool multiple times a day. In the summer we never have a problem with the battery. In the winter with lots of cloudy days, the charger works great. It is not loud at all and keeps the backyard peacefully quiet. It does get stuck in the one corner in our pool from time to time, but usually works itself out after a few minutes. It also prevents so much stuff from getting into our skimmer and therefore less crap in our pool pump basket and filter. It is pricy but it’s so worth it in the time it saves you skimming and in all debris is stops from getting in your pool filter system. I bought it on Amazon but then bought the extended warranty on their BETTA website.
