I purchased 2 and both have stopped working

Bought this remote for use with a new Vizio TV for a senior, to replace Vizio's poorly designed remote. I'm using the TV with an antenna only, but Vizio's remote has the volume buttons hidden on the side and the channel buttons are unlabeled. After installing batteries this remote worked right out of the box, no programming needed! The battery compartment is a bit tricky to access and the "pictorial" directions provided are a little vague. You pull on the lanyard which releases the compartment latch. I love that -- perfect for significant others, kids or seniors who like to fiddle with stuff and then complain when it doesn't work.

Remote is recommended for elderly people but it is impossible to open the battery/ compartment. It broke first time. I taped it together and the remote would no sync to the T.V, even though it was listed as compatible in the insyructions. Junk! DO NOT BUY!

BUYER BEWARE!!! this is a piece of junk- The only thing it would do is cut the TV on or off on one brand. The other brand said an error occurred and would not work. Because of not getting set up in time I am out of $40.00. The instructions are missing anyone to contact for help. Not worth half of what they cost. Amazon should remove this product it is a scam.
