Great scale
Best accuracy of all the body composition scales. Not precise though, readings will vary a point/pound per weigh in. If the app broke it down into segmental body analysis, would be perfect. ALMOST as good as the doctors office.

Would have loved to love, but…
I don’t belong to a gym and have been trying to get an InBody reading for a while. I decided to splurge on this at home model and was excited to try it out. First, my expectations: I didn’t expect perfect accuracy. It’s not a Dexa scan and there are lots of variables that can affect the readings. That said, I was hoping to get a reasonably close reading and then use it over time to see my trends. It’s the trends that are most useful (in my opinion). Next, my results: I have no idea. Why? Because the results are wildly different every time I step on the scale. Not the weight measurement, but everything else. I’m not talking about day-to-day fluctuations. I’m talking about taking a reading and then taking a subsequent reading a minute later to confirm. Unfortunately, I can take 5 readings in 10 minutes and they vary wildly by about 10% sometimes, even more. Given this, I don’t think this unit is helpful even to track trends. I’ll be returning it.

Works great, competitive advantage to other scales
I love the scale. Precise, easy to use, gives me the metrics I needed. I’m working on building muscle so measurement in muscle weight (vs percentages given on other scales) is exactly what I need. It’s a great home version compared to the results the professionals use - and you can upload the measurements you get at the doctor so it’s all nicely in one place. Connectivity is fast and easy. I live in Mexico and I had to create my account with a US phone number. It will not work otherwise. There’s just one thing that’s really annoying me. I’ve had it less than a month, I’ve only wiped the surface maybe twice with a dry towel and the letters that say InBody are worn out! It has nothing to do with functionality but I’m annoyed it looks old when it’s brand new. See photo. I wish this detail would match the rest of the quality.

Satisfied
Gives me all the information I need. Also, shows me my history from the app.

Solid BEI scale
Does what it says it will do. Works well as long as you understand the idiosyncrasies of bioelectric impedance (BEI) body composition analysis. That's also why I dinged it a star, though. They do not give you the ECW numbers to be able to determine how much hydration may be affecting the data on a particular measurement. That said, you've got it there at home, so you can figure out a consistent routine to try and take out the variability. Personally, every week or more, I wake up, get a drink of water and then my morning coffee. Let the coffee do it's job and on my way back from the toilet, use the scale. Should be in about the same state each time that way so the data is more consistent. I have compared with the much more expensive gym unit and the numbers agree well, although I miss the segmental analysis. The app is ... fine? It's slow and does what it does with very little choice for you on how you want to use or look at the data, but it shows it to you and does show the trends over time.

Not accurate, not even close, vs DEXA
Start with the good: setup was easy, app worked and was pretty intuitive, no issues getting data from the device into the app. Now my issue: I have been using a cheap $40 RENPHO scale and this was a big upgrade (or so I thought)… but I was wanting to do a DEXA scan for a while, so I decided to wait until I got this scale so I could compare. It turns out, that at least for my body type the H30 is waaaay off, and my cheap RENPHO is much closer to the real numbers. I’m packing up the H30 and sending it back.

Great product for the price.
It works as described and works perfectly to track trends. Can be inaccurate, so it may involve two or three reps to get a good read. I took this to my visit with my nutritionist and it was off two percent on BF when compared to the professional standing In Body model, but close enough for regular tracking. The weight was the same on both. For the price, it works great. I use it daily.

Scale stopped turning on and returning for a refund is a bit of a challenge
I was excited to get this InBody Dial H30 after my thorough research into it and other brands. Received on March 27th, 2026, didn't get around to trying it just now, 7:15PM, March 31st. Just wanted to give myself enough time to admire and set up my $303 scale that promised a lot of wonderful things in my health and fitness journey. I installed the 4 AA batteries included. Stepped on. And it turned on. So far so good. Then I installed the app and went through the set up process. The scale was off automatically during this time. After I gave the scale a nick name via the app, I stepped back on the scale to turn it back on and sync the app and the scale. Uh oh, it didn't turn on! The screen stayed dark. Not budging. Okay, maybe the AA batteries included were old (highly unlikely), so I just installed my own brand new AAs. Nope, still stayed off. So yeah, disappointed. I wanted to replace with another, just ship me a replacement, but thought what if the replacement would work for maybe a day or a month or 4 months and just stopped working? $300 plus isn't huge, per se, but is for a scale that I can't be sure how long it would last. So yeah, I opted for a refund and UPS will be picking up from my house tomorrow, April 1st. For a full refund I need to either get a box, print my own label and go drop off at a UPS location or have UPS pick up from my residence. They don't allow drop off at Kohl's in the original product box / no shipping label required, which would have been much more convenient for me. They only allow drop off at Kohl's for a replacement. Why makes getting a refund difficult?

I enjoy working out and was already familiar with InBody from using it at the gym. Being able to measure my body composition at home every day with the InBody Dial has been very motivating, and it allows me to conveniently check my condition at a time that suits me. While it is not the cheapest option on the market, I chose it because InBody is a well-known and trusted brand in the body composition analysis field, and I do not regret the purchase at all. There are many lower-priced alternatives available, but I preferred InBody for its reliability and brand credibility.

Seems well made. Hopefully will help me get my visceral fat levels down to as safe level in my old age.
