My knee has arthritis It has only been getting worse for three years. I've tried various OTC pills and knee supports with only slight improvement. My doctor has been talking about knee replacement surgery.Then I found patella knee straps. I first went with another (cheaper) brand. It helped a lot, but the strap was too short and the Velcro kept coming undone. Then I bought this one.Both the cheaper strap and this one worked equally well, but this one stays on. My knee pain started getting better, with noticeable improvement on day one. Every day it got better. After a couple of weeks, much of the pain was gone, and I could only notice improvement week-by-week. It's now been two months, and I frequently go a few days without wearing the strap, the pain is almost completely gone, I now only wear it when I anticipate activity that will result on stress on my knee.My belief is that every time my knee hurts, I am causing more damage, and it kept getting worse and worse. Once the pain went away, I stopped damaging my knee, and it got better and better even without use of the strap. Now I only have pain with twisting motion (slight pain), so as long as I can avoid twisting motion or I cancer the strap, my knee improves instead of getting worse.By the way, at its worse a few months ago, I would get out of the car (where sitting or getting out caused twisting motion) and it was very painful to put any weight on that leg. Then I would kick that leg out a few times, and be able to walk for a while. This led me to suspect the patella was getting out of position. This strap apparently keeps it in place. And it doesn't need to be tight, light pressure does the trick.

Love these brace, it works instantly as I put it in. I had total knee replacement 4 months ago and I'm having scaring tissue by the patella muscle causing me pain to bend the knee and pain as I walk. My son uses this item to help him with Osgood-Schlatter. He says it provides some comfort but is not restrictive. It's not as bulky as full knee brace. It's easy to put on and stays in place.

This patella knee strap is very well made. The stitching and material are first rate. Let me say.... I have very large calves and this product went around my calf BUT it was too small to actually Velcro it into place. I was very disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to use this.That being said I have to tell you that I would absolutely order from this company again!Their customer service is the best I have encountered.The add stated 100% money back guarantee so when it didn’t fit, I tried to return via amazon but couldn’t. So I contacted the seller. The seller reached out to me and explained how I could get my money back from Amazon. I tired and couldn’t do it. I told the seller thank you but was unable to complete the procedure. They emailed me back and told me they were going to tell Amazon to issue me a refund. Within a couple hours my refund was back in my Amazon account. I bought 2 of these about 3 weeks ago, one from Paragon and another from ArcoSports.I have very thick legs and they both fit (right below the kneecap and the fold of the leg in back) fine. In fact, if it were any larger it might be too big, for me at least.Of the 2, this one seems to be more elastic and more comfortable to wear. The downside of that is that it doesn't seem to do quite as good a job in holding the bones in place. I use the Arco product when I'm going to be on my feet for longer periods of time or doing something more physically demanding and the Paragon product for less strenuous activities or when I'll be off my feet periodically.Neither product eliminates my discomfort entirely but, used as I've described, they usually reduce the pain fairly significantly.It seems to be holding up well after 3 weeks for fairly regular use.

My daughter has patellar tendon pains. After trying four different knee straps, she thought that this was the most comfortable of all. It stays in place without a problem. The adjustment is done from the sides which is both easy to do and prevents any velcro or unaligned tabs from bothering the skin (some of the others we used had this exact problem). It's a bit thicker than a few models she tried which was initially a concern, but it did not create any discomfort at the end so she is happy.We had a quality control problem with the first one we ordered: after a few weeks of use, the stitching that holds the plastic buckle in the front came off, making the product impossible to use. However, once I contacted customer service, I received an immediate response and apology and I was sent a replacement knee strap immediately.and free of charge. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was offered the replacement and how fast it was sent, so I could not be any happier.
