John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Multi-Tone Revealing Shampoo, Color Protecting Shampoo, Helps Unlock Vibrant Color, 8.45 Ounce

Being of a "certain age" (almost 64), I decided to stop coloring my dark brown hair 3 years ago and let nature take its course, allowing the grays to appear naturally. (I didn't want to get to a stage where I had to endure the awkward "two-toned hair" while the gray/silver grew out, and I was getting tired of the time and cost for a good colorist.) However, the combination of dark brown and gray strands tends to look "mousy" and drab. I decided to try John Frieda Brilliant Brunette to see if it would add a little "oomph" my color without making it look like I had tried to self-color or awkwardly cover the grays.It took a few weeks to really tell a difference, but I am quite happy with the results I'm seeing!! My hair is soft and shinier than before, and while it's still my natural color, the gray hairs are a bit more golden, which means my hair looks much less "mousy!" Goal accomplished!The smell is nice, in my opinion, and my hair feels moisturized but not greasy the next day (I use a spray leave-in conditioner as well.) The product is light brown (there's a darker shade available, too), and the results will be subtle, but for a little pick-me-up on your color, or an easy way to reduce mousiness, I'd definitely recommend.

This has been my staple shampoo and conditioner for years. I have tried other brands like Olaplex, R&Co, Monday, Pantene, Aussie, Native, and more. None of these brands gave my hair enough moisture. I have thick course long hair and i LOVE this so much. It smells sooo good and is so hydrating and moisturizing. It's the only shampoo and conditioner that does the job for my hair. The lather is good on the shampoo, the conditioner is thick and hydrating. Definitely recommend!!

In the past two years I've grown out all of my dyed hair color and went salt and pepper gray/brunette. At first I loved the way my hair looked and felt- and I bought a ton of purple products to tone my hair and make the grays more vibrant/silver/white. BUT LATELY I've felt my hair is lookin' a bit drab, and I miss switching up my hair color (I've dyed my hair since I was about 15 with good old Sun-in!). Since I didn't really want to start battling roots, and wasn't 100% sure which color I wanted to go with anyway, I've decided to buy this shampoo to use in between using Kera Clenditioner treatments. I used the copper Clenditioner and am now shampooing with the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette- it really is giving me a little color and looks more summery and bright. I may decide to go back to dyeing my hair but this is working out for me in the meantime without committment. It's awesome and I love it.

Nice smell, it dries my hair a bit but it's worth it because the color of my hair it's lighter than before.

This shampoo effectively cleanses hair without causing any damage to the color, leaving it looking shiny and feeling soft. Please note that this is not a dye shampoo, so if you are looking for one, this might not be the right product for you.

I have no idea if this really does anything for brunette hair, but I love the fragrance, and it makes my hair feel silky!
