I've been picking up these battery backup LED lights to place around the house to be better prepared for the inevitable power outages.Overall I like this one. The shape is a bit funky, and I didn't think I'd like it when I opened it up, but now that I've ascribed it a location, it works perfectly! I used it in a table lamp, which I'll leave on to keep charged and use the included remote to operate the light itself.The remote has a lot of buttons, but effectively they represent a 16 color RGB color pallet, white light, pre-programmed light programs, timers, even a nice night light mode. Tons of variety, which depending on where and how the bulb's used can add quite a bit of fun and ambiance. It has a micro USB charging port, and comes with a charging cable. It also comes with a tiny wire "hook" that can be attached to the lamp so it could be used for say camping or a stand alone installation. I personally felt the thin wire lamp hook was likely an afterthought as it's pretty cheap and will either get lost or broken IMO. Other rechargeable light bulbs I have have a socket the bulb screws in to both protect the end as well as having a robust hook on the end to hang the bulb.The bulb is plenty bright for my application (desk lamp) and the brightness can be adjusted via the included remote. All of the extra color modes are fun to run, especially when you have company or whatnot. Overall for the price, this is a solid product, especially if using inside a traditional screw in light bulb application.

This rechargeable light bulb is such a great idea! I've been seeing different white bulbs like this around the internet, but now they have this amazing bulb that has the white colors and also all the RGB colors as well! The colored options are what sold me on this bulb. It's a very interesting idea. You can now have a lamp or sconce in a place in your home that has no outlet or hardwiring. You can place it in any conventional lamp or light fixture that takes a standard sized bulb base (E26/27).This bulb is rechargeable so that's how it turns on. It doesn't need it's "host" to be connected to the electric outlet to turn on. You simply screw the familiar base right into your lamp, and you don't have to plug your lamp in to a power outlet. That means your lamp can be placed anywhere! You can click the button at the base of the bulb shade to turn it off and on, and get to the different colors, or you can use the included remote. The bulb is self contained in that it doesn't need an app to be able to use it, and it doesn't need to be connected to Bluetooth or your Wi-fi router. All you need is the provided charging cable and a brick plug that you need to supply, and this bulb will always be ready for use. If the electric goes out you'll still be able to use this bulb in your lamp. I absolutely love this idea, and I plan on buying a bunch more of these bulbs so I can finally have cool sconces up on my walls in every room! I can't say enough positive things about product, and I would highly recommend it!

The media could not be loaded.  I think this rechargeable battery operated light bulb is so cool. I have a solar lamp on my back patio that has stopped working for some reason, but I don't want to chuck it. So, I decided to do the next best thing and use a rechargeable battery operated light bulb instead. I love that it comes with a remote, so I can operate the light from the comfort of my living room. The remote signal won't work through glass, but it will work through a screen door. It has multiple lamp settings, including warm, neutral and cool, as well as various colors (see video). The bulb emanates a decent amount of brightness and also has a dimmer. If all that isn't enough, it has various timer functions. This bulb will also be quite handy during a power outage. I have battery operated lamps, such as those you see on restaurant tables, but with these battery operated bulbs, I can use them in my taller lamps for even better/broader light. The screw base detaches so you can also attach the bulb via magnet to any metal surface. This kit comes with one bulb, a remote, a USB cord, and instructions. Listing says it can hold a charge from 10-60 hours [depending on your settings]. As long as this light stands up to use, it's well worth the price point.

While it is not explicitly stated, I suspected this rechargeable bulb could not be charged through a E26 base. Nevertheless, I decided to request it to confirm this. Sure enough, it cannot be charged through the base which makes it less suitable as a backup light in the event of a power failure. That being said, it has some nice features particularly for a child’s room or a party room. These include a variety of colors as well as warm, neutral, and cool white and a dimmable in 10-percent increments. A small remote allows the user to control all light functions.PROS• Rechargeable through a USB-C cable (only).• An adaptor for (but non-charging) E26 base.• Multiple color selections.• Dimmable in 10-percent increments.• Compact remote for controlling all light functions.CONS• Charging is not possible through the E26 base which makes it less suitable as a backup light in the event of a power failure.
