DIfferent than most inside cutters...
This uses an abrasive wheel vs metal teeth to cut the pipe which I like as it is safer and works well. I used it to cut a 2" black ABS drain pipe after setting a shower pan and it worked well. After the cut, there was small plastic burms around the edge which cleaned up easily. I also liked the graduations on the side to let you know the depth of the cut.

Wouldn’t ya know it, it cut from inside the pipe. If only I can get plumbers to stop gluing the risers for my tile drain flange I won’t need it. Oh well

Cutting ABS pipe from the inside.
I needed to cut a 2” dwv pipe 2” below the subfloor. This tool did the job with an impact driver.

Specialty tool but when you need it, it's awesome
Don't need this tool often, but when I do, it saves a lot of time. I use it mostly for shower pan drains.

Worked well to install a flow meter in pool plumbing
This is a review for "DEWALT Impact Connect Pipe Cutter, PVC Cutter, Diamond Grit Cutting Wheel (DWAIPCIR)"I used this to cut a hole in my pool plumbing to install a water flow meter. It worked well but it was kind of unstable to use. I did scratch up the surrounding area a bit but I just repainted it. I can't imagine using this on any PVC less than 2-3" thick. I'm also not sure how long this will last and I don't think it is replaceable if a part breaks. I am taking a star off for durability.
