Although this is advertised as a drill press vise I use it for milling. The only shortcoming as a milling vise is that the base perimeter is not machined making it a bit more difficult to set it up squarely on the milling table. One day I will mill the edges square and fix that issue. It is certainly accurate enough for my needs as long as I don't rely on the "approximater gauge". I use and electronic level to set angles for all my milling operations. I am very pleased with the grip this vise has for milling (and no jaw lift) and it has no sloppiness in the mechanism. It's not perfect but I gave it 5 stars anyway as it is better than I expected from a simple angle drilling vise and I am using it beyond its intended purpose.

Ok this vise is great heavy sturdy accurate , it’s very very big and very very heavy you bolt it to your mini mill but must use r8 collets in order to have space between the head and the vise. This vise is the best one for any work requiring angle drilling or milling. Very well crafted for the price but it it’s worth 150$ easy Five big stars.

I love this vise! It's vice! Sturdy and solid. I love that it has the ability to rotate to different angles (degree scale included) and has its own cotter-pins to secure the functionality of its position.The value is also a huge plus! I've looked and have been waiting for a great vice of this caliber to rotate for different grades as I currently only have a circular saw, and not a table saw- so why purchase that for an extra $500 when this angular vise combo does the same thing.The gripping mechanisms are flattened steel and not grooved-teeth which help for grip. I had to make an extra purchase but still love this product the way it is.I'll caveat that I'm a tinkerer and occasionally also a DIY'r which the application of this device has already helped on a number of projects.I would also add that the crank shaft comes oiled and ready for maneuving (rotating & tightening). I secured to my work bench with 4-lag bolts. I also forgot to mention that I purchased the 4-inch model which fully opens to 10-inches.

I gave four stars even though I have not used the vise yet; it has to be cleaned up. By cleaned up I mean all of the sharp and jagged edges have to be filed and smoothed so I don't rip my skin - handle with care! It should have been better finished. Also, it does not move smoothly in spite of all the oil it is shipped with - more finish not done. I'll clean it up and edit my review when I use it. As for now, it looks and feels solid.Update 6/4/21: After some filing and wire brushing, the burrs and sharp edges have been removed and it is safe for me to use. I used it on my drill press, and it worked great, especially for drilling holes at 45 degree angles into the corner of a square table leg. I don't use the drill press often enough to keep a good vice like this permanently attached to it, so I'll mount the vice on my work bench (wing nuts) and move it to wherever else I need it. It's pretty solid and light enough to toss around with one hand. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it to you.
