Great product
These are very good chocolate. I was skeptical but found them to be all intact and there were no broken sticks. They work very well in my croissant and had great flavor and texture. The baking quality was great and the melted nicely but still held their shape. Even tasted great the next day

great chocolate, especially for things like pain au chocolat
So I'm a bit of a chocolate addict. This is an excellent chocolate. It has a great flavor. This is not your candy aisle garbage. Okay.. I'll admit it. I bought one as a gift for the family baker and I liked it so much that I bought my greedy self one just for myself. Don't judge. They're delicious. Just the right snacking size and you feel like you actually got a treat rather than those nasty ersatz treats.Look, I don't like a lot of chocolate. They are either vapid because .. reasons I guess or their just too pretentious and not worth the cost. I will not name names but you probably recognize them in the supermarket...chocolate section. Not the candy bar section.Oh.. and for the pain au chocolat, apparently these were perfect for the baker and I enjoyed eating those delicious pain au chocolat. This chocolate balanced the bitterness to the sweetness. In addition, it had a lovely floral note to it. Not too much, just enough. I'm a fan. And possibly, maybe, I've already bought a third box. Hey.. it's one of my few vices and it's my only eating vice. Let me have my vice!!!!

Awesome Product; Packaged/Shipped Well
I'm going to start off by stating that I mostly write reviews to complain, so the fact that I bothered to write a good review means that I loved everything about the product, from shipping to eating. The chocolate came in three days (the very earliest day of the estimated timeframe they gave me) via USPS Priority Mail. The box was packed with two ice packs, sealed in a foam-lined cellophane envelope, then snugly placed in a shipping box. They even included a sweet little letter saying that they tried their best to prevent any potential melting (I was nervous because it got up to the 90's where I live) but to contact customer service if they melted for a replacement or full refund.I had some time to kill, so I actually counted the number of chocolate sticks in the package. I got 286 whole sticks, and the rest came in broken pieces. That's about a 5% loss, which honestly isn't bad. I'm happily snacking on the broken pieces as I type this. I usually prefer milk chocolate, but these semisweet sticks are delicious!I had some frozen croissant dough in the freezer, and made pain au chocolat with these, and they were DELISH. I plan on chopping these up for chocolate chip cookies, melting them for fondue, and using them as stir sticks in coffee. I'm sure there are plenty of other uses for them too. Callebaut is definitely pricier than your average grocery store chocolate, but I think they're worth the investment!

Love these
Callebaut has hit it out of the park with these beauties. Whether wrapped in a croissant, roughly chopped into various other pastries, or just ate as a small chocolate snack, these little beauties are mouthwateringly delicious. They melt great in the pastries. If eating, they have a nice snap and then just melt over the tongue in a rich chocolate flood. They're not too sweet and definitely aren't bitter. For the taste and convenience of shape, I haven't found a better value on Amazon. My only wish is that they shipped faster. So far I've only ordered in cooler months. I have an order on its way, so I'm about to see if it will arrive safely in the Summer. I really hope it does because I bought the cocaoberry (might have mispelled) last time because it was more inexpensive. I much prefer these and would hate to have to go without until late Fall. I also don't have room to store enough for 3/4s of the year, so finger's crossed. I will update once they arrive.Update: There was a problem with my shipping getting lost somewhere in New York, so I can't report on whether the chocolate melted or not. It must have known its demise was in the foreseeable future, and decided to take its chances in the dudth corner of a warehouse somewhere. I can report that the seller was very professional, friendly, and immediately rectified the issue. I'd not hesitate to buy from them and will be doing so in the future.

Perfect for Pain au Chocolat
The size and taste are perfect when making Pain au Chocolat! Unfortunately the price jumps so high each time I purchase them.

Product damaged by Warehouse / shipping deodorant smell
This was my second order of this product. The first order was great -- some broken pieces but very flavorful. However this time the product is basically inedible due to extremely strongly permeating smell. I gave a piece to family members alongside one from the initial order and they confirmed it.Have you ever smelled the industrial "deodorant" smell placed inside much of Amazon's packaging material? That is the smell that permeated this product. The box of batons was not sealed, but placed into the packaging with only the cardboard box to protect it. That let the smell seep in and destroy the chocolate. Also, it is not returnable! So I am out the entire $$. To replace it, I ordered chocolate batons instead from an online chocolate vendor. Those arrived in perfect condition (many fewer broken pieces, too).Overall, this appears to be a bad trend in Amazon food products -- destruction due to poor packaging, including bottles breaking when shipped, expired products, bags coming open inside packages, or food that is inedible due to the industrial odors.I am trying to limit food purchases to those that I know will be carefully packaged and not permeable to odors.
