My doctor gave me a thumb splint for my problem. As soon as I put it on, I had problems with fit. I did some research on other thumb splints and took a chance with the FinBurst Splint. I am so glad I decided on it. It is perfect for my problem and easily adjustable. I have a very small hand and splints are not so adaptable. The FinBurst was perfect for my hand and very comfortable. No problem with seams or metal splint. It can easily accommodate small, medium and large hands with its velcro straps. It feels annd stays secure. Great choice.

The splint seems to work fairly well, I just think the manufacture was a little off. The metal bar that keep the thumb straight fits into a little "pocket", but the stitching was a little off, and now it seems to be coming undone and causing the bar to slide out.The second issue is more of a design flaw. The stitching area inside, behind where the bar pocket is located is heavy-duty, and forms a "ridge" directly behind the metal bar. The pressure from the stiff bar to that sewn ridge seems to cause irritation and bruising to the first metacarpal area. I find just wearing a sock or a thin glove helps with the rubbing, and that seems to work.3 stars as it's not well designed or constructed, but it seems to work as a splint.

My son broke his thumb and the doctor gave him a simple splint and some tape (?). Knowing that wasn't going to last more than an hour for an active 11 year old boy, I ordered this. He loved it, and since we needed it on everyday for three weeks, I ordered a second so I could wash one and have a fresh one on hand. Washed well, just warm water and soap, hang to dry. Great product, highly recommended.

The wrist area is good support. My issues is that the top of thumb is not truly adjustable. So it seemed to tight. The way the tip ended, dug into my nail bed. It's ok but I'm not going to be able to use. Maybe folks with longer thumbs would benefit from the material not digging it. Also, due to the finger width not expanding (set) it could not fit some folks due to thumb size.

This is the best brace I have found for my thumb. This brace keeps my thumb straight so the joint at the base of my thumb doesn't move. Which alleviates my pain. This brace allows the rest of my hand to move as needed. I highly recommend this

Good product and kept my thumb straight, but I felt like the wrap and fit around my hand was always a little awkward.

I like that it fits either hand. I have arthritis and carpel tunnel in both hands. I bougth this item because of pain in my left thumb. It stabilizes and protects.

Pain relief good just a bit long on my thumb so it slips down & I have to keep adjusting it, but overall a good buy

It's a good quality product, well made and offers good support, but the sizing lets it down hence 3 stars overall.However, the sizing guide is not accurate - I measured my thumb at 7cm, well within the claimed 9cm max size, but it is uncomfortably tight so just bear this in mind when ordering! I can make it work by wearing it slightly differently, but a shame that this level of inaccuracy exists.

Did the job just nicely. I strained my thumb after a move by lifting, gripping, carrying items between properties and it really felt like a ligament/tendon/muscle was on the verge of snapping. Very painful. But as soon as I used this support it instantly felt better. I like the fact that this support has a removable metal splint. I used it for about 5days with the splint in to prevent any movement of the thumb, and then the last 3days with the splint out to start partially moving it carefully. It fixed it right up. It keeps your thumb cosy as well and the heat also helps. Definitely needs washed after a week though!

I have deliberately waited until I have used these supports for a couple of weeks before reviewing.I suffer from triple arthritis, and the thumb bases in particular are very very painful and I am under observation and injections every 12-16weeks at the National Rheumatics Hospital.I have found the relief they give has been fantastic, and reduction in swelling was seen in a couple of days use. I am careful not to rely on them for more than 6 hours a day, but they help in keyboard use (I write articles and newsletters) and help in play that young grandchildren force you into.The delivery was excellent, though I have added some felt padding under the metal strip to prevent rubbing.
