These are just plain old storage cases for hard drives but they do what they are supposed to do, hence 5 stars. Build quality is fine. The drives rest in a drawer that slides completely out of the case and there is no locking mechanism so you have to be careful not to tilt it if you are going to carry it around with a hard drive inside. Also I don't think there would be much impact protection if you dropped it, but then these aren't made to be carried around or moved, they're just to store a hard drive when not in use.The case itself looks simple and attractive. There is a label on the front which unfortunately is not replaceable so if you change the contents you will have to paste another label on top of it. It also comes with little rubber feet to prevent sliding. These cases stack nicely, too.

These are simply perfect.Every time I have upgraded to a larger hard drive for one of the computers in our household I've kept the old ones as backups, just to be on the safe side. These storage bins are awesome and keep the old drives in a safe place.

I purchased two of these two pack StoraDrive's and I really think they are a nice way to store my drives. I prefer this avenue as opposed to just having my drives scattered everywhere.A couple things to mention, and why for me it didn't accrue 5 Stars. It comes with 3M adhesive feet that you need to apply yourself. I understand that modularity wise, it's the more cost effective approach. Not a huge deal, however, it would have been nice if either all StoraDrive's has embedded feet, or at the very least, have a recessed spot for the feet to fit in, so that if one were to drag the stack, the feet wouldn't come off.The other point I'd like to mention is that the drawers require you to hold the top of the StoraDrive to open. In my current stack of 4, once they were mostly filled, 3-4 drives, I was able to open them without holding the top.Neither points would deter me from adding more to my stack, however, just some observations for future improvements.

The NewerTech StoraDrive HDD cases are very basic. In my opinion these are good as a temporary solution to keep your hard drives. They are compact which is nice. However, build quality is not so great. The plastic is thin and feels flimsy.

Loved it! Good material. It’s very solid. Love that they’re stackable. Will buy more.

I have a half dozen or so of these now and I'm a fan. Simple, practical solution for storing and organizing bare hard drives by your desk. Note: these are not designed for transporting drives, but rather for storing them in place on a desk or shelf.

Great containers for storing drives. I use drive docks and these are great stacked next to them
