Purchased a while back, had to wait for nest oil change. So got rid of the plastic junk, used this metal, very happy with it. Torqued it to spec, we’ll see in another 5,000 miles how it comes out. Seems like very high quality, or I would not have used it!!

Old OEM plastic filter housing for my 3rd gen Tacoma finally cracked. I finally opted on this one but was a bit skeptical at first. When it arrived I looked over it. The threads were clean and free of burrs. It’s a very solid housing and I don’t have any worry’s about it cracking when off-roading. I’d say it’s worth the money for sure. If you change your own oil like I do, the same filter wrench fits perfect on the outside of the housing. Drain plug fits nice and secure. So far, I’ve driven about 2.5k miles from time of install and haven’t detected any leaks. Functions great and best of all, no proprietary O-rings. Standard off the shelf cartridge filters and O-rings fit perfect. I will be recommending this to all of my Tacoma friends who haven’t already swapped.

I used my KN filter, I'll keep this one as extra.Surprised how well the filter socket worked.Very easy to remove.Everything appears very high quality.No leaks, everything fit flush.I purchased for the housing so everything else was just a bonus.

This is a great filter cup I threw away the stock plastic cheap piece of junk that will weld itself to the filter housing and you'll have a heck of a time getting it off but not so when you switch to metal.
