New Balance has modified the iconic 574 shoe and not for the better. The biggest change is eliminating the padded tongue and substituting a non padded tongue which now digs in to the top of your foot. Butchering a product that has been made for years and years is not the way to run a business. New Balance should be ashamed of themselves. I am returning the shoes. Unfortunately I cannot give it 0 Stars.

These shoes are completely scuffed up everywhere, they look very very very used. They also are FAKE, I have had plenty of new balance shoes and the soles are glued down and do not lift up like these do. Soles on the real ones also look way different! They are way cheaper price because they are used, scuffed up, and fake.

The New Balance 574 was a great classic shoe, not anymore!I have enclosed a picture of my classic New Balance 574 in burgundy color on the right (10 years old!) and the new shoe on the left which I put back in the box and returned immediately. Notice the thick quality suede on the shoe on the right and the new shoe has thin fake looking suede, dull color and appeared to be stolen from a bowling alley. Look at the picture on the left and you can visually see its waaaaay to small!!!!!!!When my old 574's were new they looked so nice I could wear them on a casual date. The new 574's look like cheap counterfeits with inferior fit, color and style.10 years ago I bought 574 originals for $90 and they were a great deal. I bought the new 574's on Amazon and for 1/2 that price and they were so uncomfortable that I wouldn't wear them if someone gave them to me for free. Total garbage! Return!

I own several pair of New Balance shoes. They are all comfortable, well padded, fit well with quality workmanship. I received a pair of these 574s today, and they are nothing like the others I have purchased. These shoes look nice out of the box, but that's about it. They are about a half size smaller than the others I own, even thought they are all size 10. Padding is non existent, the sides of the shoes feel like they are made of cardboard. If you buy these anticipating a typical New Balance comfort and feel, you will be sadly disappointed.

Bought these five months ago and their trash. I’ve been wearing this same style of new balance sneaker for almost 15 years and I can keep a pair for a couple of years as I don’t wear them often but this pair only lasted me 5 months after minimal usage. Their 4E is extremely narrow to the standard. See attached photo. It's the comparison of Asics 4E, 8 1/2 and New Balance 4E, 8 1/2. I used to really like New Balance but they don't make "wide" shoes anymore so although I like the design I can't wear them anymore.

I initially ordered this shoe in a few weeks ago, and they seemed to be well made for the price, except for a lack of padding in the tongue. One thing I liked about the shoe is that a short extension of the leatherette overlaps the area where the end of the big toe is, which in many other tennis shoes is covered by the shoe mesh. In some of my other sneakers the mesh in that spot has split, which the design of this shoe should prevent.Now for the not so good. I had previously noted that some reviewers had complained that the shoe is narrower than what the width is labeled. I normally take a 14W shoe and decided to take a chance and ordered that size in this shoe. At first the shoes seemed to be OK for the daily walks I have been taking. However, after a few weeks of walking I came to be aware of my toes being cramped. Otherwise being satisfied with the shoe, I decided to order the same shoe in 14-X wide, figuring that would solve the problem.The shoes came yesterday, but, even though the label on the shoe says 4E. they looked to be the same size as the other ones I had. which had 2E on the label. To make sure of that, I placed one of the new shoes sole-to-sole to match with one of the other shoes and they were EXACTLY the same width.Perhaps the problem is with the manufacturer, which is located in Vietnam, surreptitiously cutting corners to save their costs. Nevertheless, New Balance should have better quality control to make sure about what is being put out in their name.[Edit. I might be wrong about what I said concerning the difference between wide and extra wide. I order a pair of the NB 877 wide, which do have a wide toe box. I found they fit well in the toes, but perhaps a bit snug. Since they were not expensive, I ordered a pair of the extra wide. I found that the sole to sole measurement between the wide and the extra wide was the same BUT the uppers in the extra wide, even visually WERE wider. That got me to thinking that they might have done the same for the 574v2. I was going only by the sole to sole measurement on those and did not actually try wearing them long enough to make a fit determination.In any case, I am returning the pair I just received.

En un mes de uso ya se han roto por el lateral, en la zona del dedo pequeño, así que de calidad, peor que unas chinasEn cuanto a comodidad, decir que son comodas. Es lo que le ha salvado de no darle 1 estrella.EDITO: le calzo 1 estrella. SON MALÍSIMAS. Apenas las uso y ya se han rajado por otro lateral. Me siento estafado, pero bueno...

Las compré, y aunque me dio la impresión de que había algo raro en el diseño, muy redondas, como poco talladas, me las quede por el precio y las guarde hasta hace 1 mes y pico, que empecé a usarlas.Se me acaban de rajar por un lateral, y como ha pasado casi un año desde la compra pues me las tengo que comer con patatas.Amazon, en un producto vendido por ellos, debiera de vigilar que le den gato por liebre. Estoy convencido, ahora sí, de que son falsas, y la imagen que se resiente es la propia de Amazon..

La scarpa dopo soli 3 mesi si è rotta. Non è nemmeno stata usata tanto. Si è strappata la calzatura dalla suola. Completamente inusabile

Siempre he comprado este tipo de zapatillas para mi marido y nunca he tenido ningún problema. Esta vez no ha sido así, aparte de que no tallan igual, vienen un número más de lo habitual, la forma que tienen es rara, amorfa son redondisimas de la parte de adelante como desproporcionadas con la de atrás, es que están mal hechas. Es una pena que un buen producto nada económico tenga un diseño tan pésimo.Eran para un regalo y las tengo que devolver por que no hay quien las salve por ningún lado. En las fotos no se aprecia que sean así de ninguna manera, no es una foto real. Si lo se no las compro.No las recomiendo para nada. Mal el tallaje y mal el diseño.
