warm & resists water
This coat is beautiful! I ordered the medium size. I'm 5'2 and approximately 148 pounds. I'm a 32B up top and this coat lays comfortably across my shoulders and allows my arms to move freely. Most of my weight is on my waist, thighs and butt. My upper thigh/butt measurement is about 45 inches around. I'm pleased that this coat can easily zip up and down to cover my physique. This coat fits smoothly from top of shoulder to mid calf. The length of this coat will help keep the air off of my legs. I placed the sleeve under the faucet of flowing water for 15+ seconds and the water flowed right off. The upper body and hood of the coat have soft fur. The sleeves and the pockets are not lined with the fur that is on the upper body and hood of the coat. The sleeves and pockets are lined with a plain, thin fabric that seems well sewn. I appreciate the sturdy 2 way zipper and snaps. I'm pleased with this coat. It's attractive, easy on the body and well priced. In essence, I'm very grateful for this purchase. I'll try to order another in a different color in the future.

Great quality winter coat
UPDATE: after finally wearing it out my mom did say it feels large so I would recommend ordering your normal size.I purchased this coat as a gift for my mom this past Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this coat as well as all the functional features. The fur trim on the hood is removable, it has a ton of pockets and I like that there are button snaps on the sides if you need more flexibility. The coat also has a two way zipper if you need. The coat seems fairly thick and warm, it’s a good length for my mom. She’s about 5’2” and the coat reachers her shins. She normally wears XL and I got her an XXL just in case. It didn’t seem too big but I wonder if I could have sized down. I can’t wait to see my mom wear it!! If I didn’t already have too many jackets I’d probably get one for myself.

The coat boasts a robust insulation layer that traps heat efficiently, even in the coldest
This thick winter coat is an exceptional choice for braving the notoriously harsh Wisconsin winters, which this year have been even more unpredictable and severe. Designed with extreme cold weather in mind, the coat boasts a robust insulation layer that traps heat efficiently, ensuring you stay warm even in the coldest conditions. The outer material is not only waterproof but also windproof, providing an impenetrable barrier against the elements, whether it’s heavy snow, freezing rain, or biting winds. The attention to detail in the design is evident, with features such as a high collar, adjustable cuffs, and a storm flap over the zipper to block out the cold. The coat also includes a variety of pockets, which are both practical and securely fastened, to keep personal items safe and hands warm. The fit is true to size, offering enough room to layer underneath without being bulky, ensuring mobility is not compromised. What sets this coat apart is its versatility. Despite its heavy-duty construction, it has a stylish design that looks good in both urban and outdoor settings. Whether you’re commuting to work, taking a walk in the countryside, or tackling snowy trails, this coat has you covered. The durability is another plus, built to withstand not just the elements but also the test of time. So warm! Fuzzy hood
Most coats in this price range do not have a fuzzy hood. If you've been in cold- cold. You know you need a fuzzy hood. Full fur trim would be ideal but you need to jump your budget to get that.Edit: it DOES zip both ways! So my legs can be free and my top zipped. This makes it even better because if I'm too warm I can cool down with this feature and still have a warm torsoThe pockets are nice. I tried a different brand and the pockets were scratchy especially on dry hands. No good. These pockets are just like the outside of the coat. So that's fine.I waffled between large and xL forever. I finally went xl. It fits enough that I can wear a sweater and my elbows are still comfortable. That's a necessity for me. It is over all big. A large probably would fit *perfect* but i plan on a couple babies in the next few years so I like the space to grow. I'm 5'7" and 180lbs right now.I went for a midnight walk in Wisconsin weather. When we got back everyone else was " warming up". Meanwhile I had been sweating and went back out in my shirtsleeves to cool down. It's TOASTY.I love the hood too. I can grab my coat and only my coat and go out and I am literally warm head to toe. Well okay I need shoes. But when your whole body is warm even your feet stay warmer. If you're working with your hands bring gloves. But this coat covers head, neck, torso, legs, keeping them soo toasty. No wind gets through. The 3 things I'd change are1. A zipper that goes up and down so you could have your torso zipped without your legs.2. A drawstring for the waist. A mitten minder can sinch you in a pinch though.3. Little catches for the hood so it would stay tight without needing to actually tie them together. Those are minor and picky though so it is still a 5 * from me! It was a gift off my wish list and I've thanked my husband almost every time I've worn it. I even wore it around the house when I was under the weather and felt chilly. It's like a walking blanket.I'm almost tempted to finally donate my insanely thick, insanely warm coat I keep on hand for those rare -20* days when I need to go out. I think this one would suffice! And yet, this one isn't bulky and thick. I don't know how that works. Maybe because it covers so much. That probably makes a big difference. No more cold booty and thigh fat for me! Woohoo!Tested in Wisconsin over new years in temps from 0-20* F
