A good , strong straight edge
A good feature of this is the clamp , seems strong and rigid enough have seen the reviews about jig saw attachment and decided in due course will make my own . Nice and light to transport and you just need to re adjust as there's no slot for saw bade , so your saw blade / grinder disc will stick out from the clamp edge a wee bit .Good value for money , first one arrived damaged , replaced and waiting for credit . Could have been packaged a bit better. Time will tell for the durability of it , but ir does seem ok

Great saw straight edge clamp
Great saw straight edge clamp! The clamping works very nicely even on boards bundles that are not perfectly flat with each other. The clamp jaws are quite deep and in the case you don't have straight edges like deck lumber, it still works very well!I used to rip cut 5 2X8 pressure treated boards placed side by side and made the cut clean, quick and perfectly straight!Recommended!!I also recommend buying that saw sled, that way you have a decent saw track system.

Great idea and great product, very solid
I have owned this clamp for just over 4 months now. Prior to that, it was something I had always thought about when I had to make a cut. I went through the normal drawing the line and trying to cut straight free-handed. I would use c clamps to clamp a piece of wood, ruler or level on top of the piece I was cutting as an edge guide. The free handed cuts never cut as straight as I had hoped. The c clamps would leave marks and took a while.Enter the Bora 543050 WTX Clamp. It is very easy to lay down on a 4x sheet, make your measurement and clamp it down. It has not left a mark on wood and I have been using it on ~ 20 sheets of drywall over the past week and it is working out perfectly for that. Loosening the clamp is simply raising the lever and you can pull it right off. The grip section of the clamp does a good job of holding it in place and I have not had the clamp budge once.If I had to give one suggestion, it would be to either make the grip sections adjustable (to go up and down) or to have the grip very thin and extensions. The one problem I have come across is when I have a sheet of drywall laying on top of another sheet of drywall, if the 2 are not lined up exactly, then the grip section protrudes below the 1st sheet and will not let the clamp lay down flat, but is instead sitting 1/4" above. This is an issue when I'm trying to make a cut, but the blade can slide under the guide. Other than that, it is great.

Sticky tape residue along its edge, but after cleaning it, it's a five-star tool.
I got this Bora 50-incher, and a cordless 7-1/4" circular saw, instead of a table saw. You either have to move the wood, or the saw. Corded saws get frustrating to move, but with this clamping saw-guide, it's often much easier to move a 9 lb, 4 oz saw, rather than moving an 75 lb sheet of plywood. With the aide of a 7" "PolySquare™"poly triangular quick-square, it's a cinch to clamp this saw-guide fast and straight. I chose this one over the blue one, and other designs, because it doesn't have that steel rod running down the center that rusts. Steel-rod-style clamps sometimes squeak and bind, and can sound similar to fingernails on a chalkboard to me. This one is aluminum against plastic, and hollow inside it's length. Nothing to rust! It's quiet and seems to clamp tight enough to do the job.I only recently learned about "shooting boards" where people on youtube make circular-saw-guides with scrap wood. They glue the guide to a piece of thinner board, then saw that to get the exact distance from the guide, so you always have the perfect edge of your blade to line up to. You lose a smidgeon of your saw's cutting depth capacity, but get convenience. It's not hard to add 5" for my saw's distance from its blade to the edge of the shoe. It's just a new way of working that I'm not yet used to. This isn't in the same realm of a track-saw, but it has gained me the ability to easily cut perfectly straight and square, with a hand-held circular saw, which is priceless to me - it's a phenomenon I've never before known, and it still boggles my mind. You could fashion your own track plate for your saw's shoe and make something ride in the channel(s) of this Bora Saw-Guide, but it works very well without any tinkering, as long as you're careful and attentive. It's just so convenient and fast to clamp down and guide my hand, that I don't see myself ever cutting sheets without it. It's a prerequisite to any circular saw - only wish I'd known about this before now. Even though it's semi-long, it's so light that squaring it up straight using a triangle-square is a delight. It's easy to do with one hand, because it weighs so much less than any DIY "shooting board".It came packaged really well, in a heavy duty circular cardboard tube. I was worried, because aluminum is so soft, that the edge would get gouged easily. I will keep this cardboard-tube mailer to store it in my trailer, on the road, even though it's hanging hole (in the handle) works exceptionally well, allowing it to lay flat against the wall (the handle bends a little when hanging, so it's nice). My edge was pristine, except for sticky tape-residue in a few spots that I had to laboriously clean with naphtha.
