Week one was great. Week two, sugar cravings started to subside, week three was smooth sailing. And I’m happy to say, two months later I’m still in it with no plans on going back. This book truly changed my life. There’s still things I’m working on like carb intake but if you are lookin to transition thus book is great! Easy to follow and delicious recipes. Really good WFPB recipes
I’ve looked at a few cook books that claim to be wfpb. Perhaps definitions of wfpb vary, but many of them are just vegan, and call for packaged foods as well as oil. The recipes in this book are really wfpb, do not call for either, and do a great job of explaining the nutrients in each recipe.

Wonderful book to help you get started to good health!
I bought this book a while back (truly can not remember when) it laid it on my pile of books. Today I picked it up and started reading and realized this is a great book for eating deliciously healthy, which I already do and have tons of recipe books, but this one is special at least it appeals to me and my tastes and I bet it will to you as well. I have been plant based for 8 years and have never looked back, I do it for the planet, the animals and hey for me and my health and my family's health. I made the creamy balsamic dressing (page 236) today and have several pages with turned down ears (bookmarks always fall out) to try as soon as I get back to the grocery. Just a note of what eating plant-based can do for you as it did for me, lost 15 lbs., cholesterol went down 50 points, all my "markers" are great, lower blood pressure, no more osteoporosis (yes really), no more gerd, skin looks great (I get compliments and I'm 73), it doesn't matter your age, it will do really good things for you and your health and this happens fast. I take no medicines. I think this book is really good way to get started.

My Top Plant based recipe book
This book has been so much fun. Recipes are so simple and the grocery list is straight to the points. From delicious breakfast smoothies to quick tasty salads and beyond. The greatest investment to maintaining a healthy diet thus far. Great for people who are starting and need their journey simplified.

Overall tasty recipes, flaws within the meal prep
I haven’t had a recipe I didn’t like, although there are some recipes that I’d probably not make again just because they were too involved to make as a parent with an infant or because I’m not really a soup person. There were some flaws with the meal prep - for example week 1 has a hummus pizza recipe, but then the recipe itself calls for premade pizza crusts which wasn’t on the shopping list. Again, as a mother of an infant who wants to limit the number of times she goes to the store, this was annoying. The purpose of this book is to help individuals start a vegan lifestyle, so knowing this the author still had us go heavy on the beans and fiber for week 1, which means HELLO diarrhea. Be prepared and it’d probably be wise to take a probiotic to help your gut balance the sudden change in diet.

a great way to get started!
I picked up this book for guidance on how to eat vegan as i had no idea! This book was great because it had the shopping list and also the meals themselves were tasty and easy to make! i bought a extra copy for my friend who is also transitioning to vegan and he loves it. Good buy!!

Yummy recipes, informative, and easy!
I absolutely love this cookbook! I have made a lot of the recipes and have liked everything I’ve made. Even my husband likes everything! I especially like how each recipe is labeled as gluten free, kid friendly, easy prep...among other labels. I recommend this cookbook to seasoned vegans and those starting this way of eating.

The book is ok, has good info, but it is a pity that the recipes are not illustrated with a photo.

When making the switch from being, simply, vegetarians to a vegan, we were struggling to find ways to continue enjoying our meals, but in a plant-based Heather’s book “The Plant Based Diet” is outstanding! It delivered everything we needed to make the transition easy and enjoyable. This is an easy to follow, easy to implement resource, if you too are wanting to become a healthier, happier and more environmentally responsible, this book is for you. In addition to being helpful as resource, the design and layout of this book is equally delightful, simple, easy to follow with a minimum of “clutter” and a feast for the eyes, as well as the tastebuds.

Readable, sensible, not judgemental approach to plant based eating. I am vegan curious and this made it feel a lot easier. For once, recipes that don’t try to mimic too much meat eating, e.g endless burger recipes (there were only a couple!). Also some great ideas for making your own nut butters / milks etc that are simple to follow. The meal plan is similar to one I have been trying to create, using leftovers and not meals that take 25 ingredients or hours to prep. Good stuff, and nudged me along the path, thanks.

I was looking to add some plant based foods/meals to my diet and came across this book, you can’t imagine how excited I was and still am when I found out this book is refreshing easy to follow. The recipes I’ve tried so far are great and taste really good too!!

Wish I had gotten a hard cover book and not just book. Easier to cook with written recipes than the iPad.
