In the past I have lost a couple of Nikon Clip-on lens caps and solved this problem with a previous purchase of a very similar product from another vendor.The product comes simply but securely packaged. Instructions are superfluous because a glance at any photo of the product in use lets you know that the plastic tag at one end attaches to the lens cap and the elasticated strap goes stretches over the lens barrel and tucks behind the lens and the camera body. The tag attaches to the lens cap by means of cushioned double sided tape. The cushioning is enough for it to adapt to the textured surfaces of many caps.I ordered 2 of these lens cap keepers because I wanted to protect len caps which were of a less common size than that for my Nikon. The first fitted well to a wide barreled DLSR lens. The second however was for a compact film camera, an old Olympus Trip and it was with this second camera that I had a problem. The elastic was simply too long. I tried doubling it up but then it interfered with the controls on the lens. The solution was to thread the elastic loop through the camera strap.The product works well, I have a slight concern about the durability of the double sided tape but if this started to fail it could always be replaced or you could even glue the tag directly to the cap assuming that resale value is not a concern for you.Suitable for everyone who has ever lost a lens cap whilst being distracted by taking that perfect shot...and that is probably every photographer.

I'm very glad I decided to purchase this cap holder for one of the lenses for my new Olympus camera. It arrived earlier than expected and was very easy to setup. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Brilliant must have. No more losing lens caps in my pockets or on walls. Simple idea with elastic around the lens barrel and a sticky tab to put on the lens cap. Simple and ingenious and something I would never be without!!

Really useful little gadget to stop you losing your lens cap. Elastic fits round the lens body and small sticky pad attaches to the lens cap. I've been using it for about a year and it still works brilliantly. Wouldn't be without it

I put this on my camera and then put the camera away - the lens cap was not touching anything at all nor was the bag being moved anywhere, but the lens cap holder just came unstuck. So I don't think it would be reliable enough to have the lens cap swinging from it!

If I had written this review yesterday it would have had three or four stars as a mildly useful gadget. Yesterday, however, only a month after I bought it, I came to put my camera away and found that the string had parted at the catch that holds it to the camera, and my lens cap was lost. To be useful a product needs to last longer than a month!

The lens cap holder is a great idea as it is so easy to lose these important items. The attachment that I bought, however, became detached from the lens cap the first time it was used. The adhesive was not strong enough to hold it in place.
