Easy to install
Easy to install. I had to connect 3 section to cover the area that I needed. Connecting one section to the other was not too hard, but not easy either. Having the ability to couple one section to the next more easily would have been nice.

Seems like a good price for an 8" 10' long drain, though definitely the lightest duty.
I'm debating installing due to the seemingly weaker load bearing capability. Not sure how will perform, though for the price and my assuming will take a load good enough, I'll give a four stars so I rate it. I'll update later once installed. However, keep in mind this is for installing in a walking only traffic situation from my observations.

Didn't work for me
May-be I installed wrong. Water just sat in drain did not drain

The jury is still out
I think this is a very well constructed drain hose. The material is strong and it stretches easily. However, my husband and son-in-law both assure me this will fail because it’s permeable. You’d have to be careful driving something over the top of it for sure but I still have faith that it will work. We haven’t had enough rain yet to verify but when we do I’ll try to remember to update my review.

Undecided on whether to install
I get a puddle at my patio right in front of the door during every hard rain. My son-in-law suggested a French drain so I ordered this. I'm used to seeing perforated pvc pipe but since I was ordering a bit before having the drain installed, this would save me room storing it. Now I've been reading about French drain installation. I tried searching pvc vs fabric French drain pipe and found nothing on google. I did find out about mistakes to make in installing a pipe. Some of those are shown in the photos on this description. So I looked at the listing again and noticed spelling/grammar mistakes too. Many of the pictures make me suspect - the one with the sharp rocks makes me think the fabric on this could get torn especially when its wet which the purpose of this requires it to get wet. There's a photo of it without any rock and just soil replaced around it. That is a NO on every website I've seen. I do appreciate that it is made of non-woven fabric which is recommended to line the trench dug with to prevent soil from entering the trench but then fill the space between the drain pipe with rock. I know how heavy my clay and sandy soil can be and if its hurricane season with inches of rain, I could definitely see this pipe collapsing under the weight of the dirt. Another red flag to me is the photo where to demonstrate how flexible the pipe is it bends to go around an obstacle. That would slow the flow of water and should not happen in a French drain system. The other concern I have is I need more than the 10 feet of length of this. None of their description either photo or written mentions how to attach other pieces to this to make it longer. The rigid perforated pipes have a tapered end that fits into the next section so you can extend to the full length needed.Since I received this product free, I will possibly go through the work of using it in a short area I wasn't planning on putting a drain but it will not work for the location I ordered this for.

French Drain in a Box
This French Drain comes packaged very compactly and secure, but easily unwraps to its full ten-foot glory. This is about as easy as a French Drain project can get. Already wrapped in fabric, you just dig your trench, either lay some landscape fabric or gravel, put in the drain, and cover it up. Great for moving areas of poor drainage to areas that can handle the overflow. We used it to connect a trouble spot in the yard to an existing french drain and everything seems to be going perfectly now. Highly suggest. Made a giant chore into a one-day chore!

Heavier Duty Than Expected
Was pleasantly surprised at the heft of this pipe. Assuming the one-way fabric works as claimed, it will be an excellent french drain substitute. Won't be able to install until later this spring when the ground thaws, but I am hopeful. It appears durable and strong. Will bury it about a foot underground to help with a problem drainage area. Just what we needed.

Not for areas where a vehicle might drive over it
I got this to be installed alongside my driveway at my cabin, which is at the end of a downhill slope on a private dirt road, where the water collects and makes a muddy mess. I have to wait until spring for the contractor to come and dig the ditch and install the drain. However, after reading the fine print, this should not be installed where a car might drive over. Since I couldn't be certain a vehicle won't make a wide turn and go off of the gravel drive, this won't be the best option for me, and I will have to have the traditional perforated pvc drain installed. If ordering this drain, be certain it won't be in an area where it might get a vehicle going over it.
