Got this to help me evaluate & improve interview question & responses & take notes during conferences. Works great & very discreet (big improvement over the big, clunky mini-tape players of decades ago! And less distracting than messing with your phone). Sound recording is clear & love the voice activated function (no "dead air" to eat up your recording). Easy to flip from recorded file to file & delete files without having to plug into the computer. Music sound playback is very clear. Easy to back up WAV/MP3 music files for playback on the device using your computer + USB-to-Yitone recorder, & can also be used as a backup for computer files with its 64b memory. Instructions are very clear in describing functionability, troubleshooting & programming the root file using your computer & the enclosed USB-C is super easy (default has voice-activated recording off).Includes 2 different sized ear-bud type wired headphones, 2 different sized wrist loops, a USB-C for charging & connection to computer (but no brick for wall-charging). Very clear instruction book & securely packaged. Excellent recording at various distances (book says best is 6m/20ft away in fairly quiet environment & 10m/33ft in open area w/loudspeaker, but I did not try this) & great playback on speaker- though best (especially spoken word) was through the earphones. Quick charging- approx 2 hrs with nice battery retention- 2 days after charging, still 75% with light use. Moving files to the device very easy- just like moving files to thumbdrive- & likewise easy to access.Bottom line- good, solid, discreet product that does what it claims well- with added capability to serve as a thumbdrive or mini-MP3 player!

Before purchasing the device, I went through the reviews to see what others had to say based on their own personal experience.I received the item two days early, which was nice because I needed the device for work the next day.I did make sure as I was opening the package that everything listed was there: the recorder, two lanyards(one small, one large), two headphone to playback and control the volume, a USB charger, and the manual. After making sure all items were accounted for, I read the instruction manual to know how to use the device better.At first, the device seemed to operate as it was supposed to. I made sure the device was off and plugged it in. I immediately got a notification on my computer, that the recorder had been recognized. I opened the file and found the text file "recset.txt" and changed the settings to suit my needs. After saving the changes, I made sure the hard drive was empty -- four audio tracks from the previous owner remained, but nothing else other than the text file. I deleted the audio files and checked to see how much longer it needed to be charged. I turned the device off, turned it back on to see the indicator light flash four times, which mean it's fully charged.I unplugged the recorder to use it to familiarize myself before taking it to work. Suddenly there was no indicator lights; not red nor blue. No noises, no playback, no options. I tried to trouble shoot, watch review videos, I checked online, and even went into my computer to locate the hard drive and the text file, only to find that the device can't be recognized on my computer, or any computer in the house. At this point, there was a slight ticking and sound of static coming through the speakers as it was charging.I had high hopes for this recorder as it's exactly what I needed. I thoroughly read through the reviews to see if anyone else had these issues only to find a couple. I'm sure the device is great, but maybe I just got one that wasn't treated right with the last owner. I am pretty saddened over this purchase.

This recorder is incredibly small; it can fit in your hand. Despite its size, it feels heavy. It is made of a glass-like material on both sides, so it has to be handle with care. I was able to record from a distance of more than 6 meters, a range specified by the manufacturer (thinking in 40-60dB). It does not filter out background noise, so it is better to place it in a location where the recorder itself can screen out unwanted voices or sounds.Operating it is easy; just turn the switch on the side to the recording mode, and it will start recording without the need to press any other buttons. You can play back recordings using the same switch in speaker mode. The volume is standard, and you can navigate through older recordings by using the plus and minus buttons on the other side of the recorder; they stack on top of each other.The files can be backed up on a computer in either MP3 or WAV format. It has a storage capacity of 64GB, which should be sufficient for a while without needing to worry about backing up files. One feature I particularly appreciate is that if it runs out of battery, the device saves the recording before shutting down. Great!

Nice little package, comes with two pairs of earphones. They fit comfortably in my ears and stay there. I only wish I could use them in other devices. The manual states that they are proprietary and won't work with anything else. So of course I tried anyway -- I tried on both of my cellphones and got an "Unrecognized audio device" message on both. Definitely not a deal breaker though.

This tiny sound recorder is a game-changer. Its size is unbelievably small- check the second image to see how a quarter looks on top of it. The range of recording options is impressive and it comes with an awesome user guide that explains everything about it. The magnetic backing and ability to instantly start recording by sliding the switch is a bonus, making it a perfect addition to any wedding filmmaker's bag. It's now an essential tool for discreetly capturing high-quality audio. I also imagine using it to take audio notes on the fly or recording interesting sound effects. It's tiny size makes it highly versatile. Can't recommend it enough!
