Super heavyweight and tough gym/garage mat
These are extremely robust and heavyweight mats. These aren't the soft version you see kids using, these are heavy (we're talking kg's each), thick and extremely tough. You could go at these with a Stanley blade and not make a dent.Fitting them together is a bit of a task, I had to use a rubber mallet and hammer each one home with a good deal of force. It's not a 5 minute job to fit a few sets of these together but the plus side is I've been working out on these for a couple months now and they haven't moved an inch and they haven't even moved across the floor either, they're just in place and solid. They've taken weights and plyo sessions with ease and as they're in the garage they've also faced the usual rounds of DIY that happens from time to time. We regularly move our bikes and heavy stuff over them and they just laugh it off.The mats have non-slip ridges and bobbles on them and they're tough as nails. Lying down on this is not recommended so if you are stretching or doing yoga or something then get yourself a mat to put down on top. Thanks to that robustness, you can sweat away to your hearts content on these and be sure you won't slip or turn an ankle. Equally, the mats fit together so closely sweat/water doesn't seem through so you can just wipe up spills at the end of a workout. My set had no silicone mould or anything like that on them, just the mats and the smell faded in a couple of days.I honestly couldn't be happier with them, they do exactly what they are supposed to do and I doubt they'll move for years.

Outstanding mats
Purchased these over a month ago. Had spent a small fortune on new squat rack,Olympic bar, plates and other gym stuff. So considered the cheaper options as the shed's own flooring seemed solid enough but deadlifting 140kg,doing plyo jumps, burpees etc. The mention of the cheaper ones not staying in place, ripping and not thick enough concerned me. Why skimp in places when you've spent more on others? So glad I went the extra mile and bought these! Solid! And I mean solid! I tested it by dropping 60kg(bar plus 2x20kg) on it from the top position of a deadlift. Minimum sound apart from the bar and plates clanking together and hardly a dent on the mats! Nice, firm surface to walk on. Some people mentioned the smell of the new mats but that was gone after a week. A bit handy with DIY, managed to fit them in easily after figuring out a system. Silde in a corner to fit first rather hammering it in and the rest follows. Had ordered one pack but it wasn't enough so ordered 4 more for the rack/plates area. Can't recommend these enough.

Great Mats
These mats are great! After relaying the floorboards in the extension I didn't want the cross trainer to scratch up the new flooring, so bought these to place under the cross trainer.Although the mats interlock together I would recommend using a rubber mallet to hammer the pieces in which makes the job of fitting them together a lot easier. I ordered the edging Edging for Heavy Duty Rubber Interlocking Gym or Garage Mats (Edge x 8 pcs, Black) which unfortunately you have to buy separately, but finish the mats off nicely. The only real downside is the rubbery smell. I got rid of this by washing the mats with some water and fairly liquid and then leaving it to dry and air outside. I then sprayed them with febreze when I laid them down and it seems to have done the trick. The mats themselves are durable and tough and well worth it if you are looking for something heavy duty.

This is great flooring for my home gym
This is great flooring for my home gym. It may look expensive compared to other flooring that looks the same, but most of these are foam they compress and warp easily, these are solid rubber and will last for years. They can be a little tricky to get together (a rubber mallet is a must) but I got the knack of it after a while and managed to lay 24 tiles with the borders (sold separately) in under an hour.Even though my garage floor is bumpy this is thick enough to smooth out the bumps so its not noticeable and there is no rock to my power rack or bench.I know some people have mentioned that they smell of rubber which they do but I like the smell and will be sad when it goes :)The shiny coating on them soon goes once in use.Highly recommended

Quality Floor Matting
Very good quality and very heavy duty. I use mine in my garage come gym and it is exactly what is needed. I have used the cheaper heavy foam mats before however they tend to move around and come apart. These are excellent and although expensive in my eyes are worth paying for. The cost is the only thing stopping me from giving them 5 stars.

Go for Rubber not Foam
Debated about which kind of mats to buy for putting fitness equipment on and decided to spend the extra on heavy duty rubber rather than foam. They're great. Haven't put the equipment on them yet as it's not due for a couple of days. However, the mats go together so well you can't see the join. Use a rubber mallet to persuade them to link together. These are heavy mats and once in place they won't move. There's cushioning in the construction and we anticipate they'll deaden sound as well as protecting the floor.

Good, solid mats
I bought these to stand a heavy running machine on. I've not yet managed to move it, but these mats look solid enough to do the job and save my floor from being ruined.Hopefully the strong rubber smell will dissipate soon, too!
