Levenger pads are the best
A bit expensive, but the paper is far heavier than is usual for ruled writing pads, and it takes ink well. I’ve been using these pads for twenty years.

If you usea fountain pen, this the paper to get. Great for taking notes or just enjoying the flow of ink from a good nib. Pricey, but worth it.

A Note-Taking Essential for My Office
I've been using these Levenger pads for years. The paper is thick and smooth, which makes writing notes easier (and less bleed-through if you use both sides of the paper). Pages tear out easily. I use them to take notes on each client call, and use the side column for important info and follow-up notes. I love that the top has lines to remind me to write down the topic (or client name) and date, so I'm more likely to 'label' my notes. It's then easy to then file them in the appropriate folder (I use clear poly project folders labeled with the client's name or the project), and to review my notes by date. I use the white pages for clients, a different colored pad for notes related to marketing ideas and another for administrative or personal notes. They aren't inexpensive, but the quality is worth it.

Excellent layout and excellent paper quality
The layout is designed for the Cornell note-taking system. I didn't think that would work well at this size, but having tried it, I find it works quite well. You take your notes on the lined section, then annotate in the blank area during review. I use it mostly for meetings and such to pull out the information relative to any tasks assigned to me. The paper is the excellent quality you'd expect from Levenger. It is particularly fountain pen friendly, not prone to feathering, and not even the darkest ink bleeds through to the other side.

20 Years and counting.
I have been using Levenger products for almost 20 years. Nothing compares so when I saw this set at such an excellent price, it was a no brainer. I am in a MBA program and they are the absolute best for note taking. Great paper quality. Easily earns five stars. Highly recommended!

Best readily available pads on the market...
Previously printed in the USA, now in Taiwan, the latest printing site offers better than the former! Go figure!Heavyweight paper, crisp tear-offs, available in a ton of options (colored paper, ruled, perpetual calendar, annotation space, etc.) these are easily the best readily-available pads made. I state that carefully as readily available means here or on Amazon and, being Levenger, they're a known entity amongst paper users that know good paper. But, they still aren't as good as their European counterparts: Rhodia and Claifontaine. And that's not being a paper snob, it's self evident if you use a wet-writing fountain pen (as I do). Levenger clearly states these are geared for any pen, including fountain pen. So/so is my judgment there...if you're writing with a EF or F nib, they're fine, but with a medium they do exhibit feathering and bleed though. At the price you clearly pay for these premium pads, that's a down-level to 4 stars.Great pads if you're using a roller, gel or ballpoint...or dry writing fountain pen. I did notice that the Taiwan-produced paper bleeds LESS than the USA-produced paper which just shocked me.Still, brilliant paper, clearly light years ahead of office supply store notepads.

Best Legal Pads for Law Students....
These pads are amazing. Very high quality. As a law student I go through legal pads like there is no tomorrow. But I usually settle for the ones you can get from walmart and they tear apart within a month. These are super sturdy, none of my pens bleed through the other side.
