Three people in our office all use a Microsoft Surface. Our Wifi is spotty at best, and with no Ethernet port, they were getting really frustrated with dropped connections.Had a quick look to see what’s available and found this almost right away. Ordered three straight away and left it at that.When they arrived, I didn’t show anyone how to set them up (I hadnt looked into it even!) Just left the package on their desks and forgot all about them.Finally got around to checking in and seeing if anyone needs them setup today - Turns our no drivers are needed. Just plug and play! Very impressed with that. Also impressed with the metal body. Seems like it can take a beating. had a quick look at the connection speed and all seems perfect. Added bonus was the USB ports. Didn’t check USB speeds, but they will only be used for a mouse/keyboard, so not a problem.Very happy!

Initially I thought this was a great piece of kit. Then I tried to use it. The device is a single board which wasn't secured very well into the external casing, this meant I had to ensure the board was pushed home to get USB plugs into the holes. It did work for 10 days and then stopped. No power to the USB sockets after that.

My laptop has only one USB port so I use a USB hub (USB splitter) to provide more ports. The main purpose is to connect a receiver for a wireless keyboard and mouse and still have a couple of ports for other devices. This Techole hub doesn't support this very standard usage. I use a Logitech Unifying receiver and I sync the keyboard and mouse to that receiver. This worked fine with the old hub until that hub developed a problem (after four years). It works through friends' hubs as well. It still works if I connect the receiver to the computer port. But not if I plug the receiver into this Techole hub. I've tried rebooting and re-syncing the devices to the receiver several times.A second issue is that the hub's connector fits rather loosely in the USB port. It connects, but is not secure enough.I am returning this item.

This is a superb product for those who are in Technology field. I can use this product to charge/transfer data on multiple devices at the same time (3 maximum). I can connect keyboard, Mouse and webcam using a single port of my desktop or laptop. Love! It works :) which is more that can be said for the first, cheaper one I bought! Very good, simple plug and play, fast speed, no driver CD or download to bother with (although the company do provide a website with drivers in case you do have an issue with it which is good). Perfect for my 2017 MackBook Air. Best thing was unexpected. Additional adapter to allow you to use it with Type C devices. I presumed this meant laptops only but was very pleasantly surprised that the Type C adapter allows be to bring ethernet broadband to my mobile phone! (LG G5). For me, this is fab because I'm often staying at hotels and BnBs for my work and find that I've no phone signal for network data and often the wifi on site is rubbish or insecure. At least this way, subject to an available ethernet port and permission to plug in, I'll always be able to get internet now laptop or phone (if type C). Will investigate if it works with USB 3.0 to Micro USB and USB 3.0 to Lightning adapters too - if there are such things. The only thing that is a criticism (but not worth losing more than half a star for) is that it would be loads better if the tiny C Type adapter had a clip and small chain (as do some of my other cable adapters) to allow it to be secure on your keyring, or, around the wire of this device. It's fab having the adapter and very useful - but I'm predicting I'll lose it!Over all very happy though. Well built, metal casing.

There is no point having this type of ethernet connection if it drops out even infrequently. Given the dropout issue is quite frequent (at least once a day) it is enough to be super annoying. This will mostly happen when the laptop sleeps but also when you are in the middle of work.As I have a simpler ethernet only USB 3.0 Hub to compare it to which never drops out I am blaming this product and not the laptop which is modern (Dell Latitude 7280). I bought this because of the additional USB ports which so far have worked for me, it is the ethernet that drops out not them.

Great product for the money. Casing is not 100% perfect, but is metal and almost there, just not as polished fitting together as say an Apple product. At a fraction of the cost, can’t complain.Only annoying thing is that on USB3 I can only get speeds of around 180Mbps on my internet connection. Using the inlcuded USB C adapter I can get the full 382Mbps. All other USB3 adapters have been the same though. Even the in built Ethernet socket caps at the same speed (although I believe internally it’s connect to the usb bus).I purchased to be used as a cheap dock to switch allow easy switching of peripherals between my laptops. For this, it works well.Highly recommended.

Purchased to enable the connection of a wired network to my Microsoft Surface. Only used a few times before the unit wouldn't get detected by my device. Tried on several other devices but still the same, even downloaded the drivers from the manufactures website as a last resort, but still the same issue.My 1st purchase of a Techole device and my last, very disappointing.
