Just like the originals
High quality jungle Boots just like you get in the Marines, only problem is they are pretty tight in the instep getting them on once they're on they fit great.

Best Jungle Boots on the Market
These are the best Vietnam Jungle Boots on the market, in my opinion. Best quality and well worth the money. Comfortable, durable, and sharp looking. Don't waste your money on the cheaper alternatives if you actually plan on wearing these boots often. I'm proud that these boots are made in Mt. Gilead, NC. Support US businesses and buy McRae Boots. Order 1 size smaller than what you normally wear and you should fit in these fine.

Great Boots
These boots (olive drab) remind me of the jungle boots that I was issued back in my military days. Well made right here in the USA. They do run big as is typical. I wear a 9W and I ordered down one whole size (8W) per the instructions and they fit perfectly. Just a little extra room for my toes when wearing boot socks. I wear these all day at work and they are very comfortable. I didn't even have to change out the insoles. I hope they last as long as my original pair did. The only thing that I will do to these boots is rub down the canvas with Otter Wax and give the leather a coat of black polish. A few points of interest: 1 - These do not have the spike protection that the original boots had. 2 - No Goodyear Welt so resoling them may be a challenge. 3 - 2 pairs of eyelets at the bottom and 5 pairs of speed laces at the top make them a bit easier to put on.

They run a little big maybe get a half size down
Pretty cool throwback boots decently light and they seem pretty durable

Price has doubled, quality has gone down.
This should be 5 stars but greed and bad production practices have failed us as Americans. I've been wearing the same make/ model of Mcrae's for over 40 years. Each pair lasting less time and costing more money. I wore the same green jungle boot for 14 years, then the vulcanized rubber tore from the leather, the next pair for 9 years after that. My wife and sons bought me a replacement 3 years ago at Christmas, cost was 131.95 not cheap but manageable for a boot made for our service men and women, and they lasted under 3 years. I now need another pair and am having to consider changing my boot supplier. Now they are listed for 209.95 and are almost a pair of disposable rubber.... It is a shame and disgrace...

Good quality and fit.
These fit me good. I got a size 9 E, and I have enough room for insols and wool socks. They are a bit rough inside on the wool socks, so I advise better insols than what comes with the boot. I've had these for a few weeks and they are still breaking in but I don't wear them every day. You'll have some breaking in but they are good boots and they seemed to fit better than Altama, which seem to always run too long. For classic style and durability, it's a good buy. This is all subjective to me, but I've tried Altama and McRae, and the only reason I chose these is that they were available in the size I need, and fit really good. I suggest you go down a size or even a size and a half. Buy two sizes and try them both and send back the ones you don't want.

Extra-wide, really?
Delivery from vendor was prompt. The boots appeared to be of exceĺlent quality. However, they were too narrow. Could not even begin to get my foot in. Would swear they were a D width and not an extra wide. Returned for a refund.

McCrae is the best combat boot I've found
They look and fit exactly like the Real Thing, from when I was in the Army, except they have a better sole than the slippery thing a GI boot has. It's hard to get 8 wide in any shoe, and I spent years looking for something that fit me as well as a standard combat boot does. I gave up years ago when I stumbled upon McCrae. If you want what you had in the military, you've found it. I only bought these to have a second pair; my last pair is on the order of four years old and they're still going strong, which is also what I expect from a boot and never got from any other company, and believe me I tried a number of them. If I could get more than year from a set of (more expensive) other boots I was lucky. So this boot looks right, it fits right, and it lasts right. McCrae. It's just right.

My son says they are really comfortable and lace up easily. He usually wears around 11.5 wide, so we got 11 wide as we were told they run a little big. He says they fit him perfectly.
