The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Parenting

This book is extremely funny.
This book is extremely funny. Yes, the worst-case scenarios give you realistic 'survival tips', but everything is written in a very amusing way, and meant to be entertaining. Most of the suggestions given are common-sense and you would have probably come up with them by yourself, but this book gets you there faster. It's also a great gift for baby showers, or for New Dads who are panicking about having their first baby! Easy and fun reading, short chapters, and you can easily skip around in the book to find whatever question you have, because it is indexed clearly. I got this for my husband, and he loved it.

Funny, good gift material.
While there isn't really a lot of useful material in this book, I found it humorous. After reading it, I gifted it to friends of mine who just had their first child. It makes you laugh at some of the terrors of parenthood. Looking for a serious book, I would recommend "Happiest Baby [or Toddler] on the Block" by Harvey Karp. But this "Worst-Case" book will make you giggle and be thankful that you don't have it THAT bad. Yet. On a side note, the section about how to re-capitate a doll really works! I've fixed three action figures using the doll re-heading technique.

Great gift!
Its a great book as a gift idea. Although it does have honest advice its the mix of humor that keeps you reading. If you know someone who is a first time part or someone who has kids this is a great book to get them. I couldn't stop reading nor laughing.

We actually found it at my son's doctors office and it just made us laugh and on so many levels i wish I'd had had this book when my oldest son was born to help with really everything including the big one nightmares and not wanting to go to bed and monsters in my room lol.Thank you.I have actually going to get more later for some baby shower gifts because its perfect.

Very Useful & Easy to Read
Two of my daughters are having babies 10 days apart. I got each of them this book. Looking through it, I wish something like this had been available when I was building my family. Looks very useful!

Funny and Helpful
This book is a good mix of a gag gift and a practical gift. It has useful information but uses just the right amount of sarcasm when discussing common sense situations.

You wont put it down
I love this little gem of a book. It had me laughing so hard that I was crying. Covers things you never thought possible. Trust me you are ahead of the game with this one. A great shower gift they will be talking about forever!!!

A must have book for parents!
Comical yet very useful. Unfortunately it seems that people can become licensed drivers easier than becoming parents. So forget the free pack of diapers and baby wipes, every hospital delivery room in the country should be giving out a copy of this book with every new parent!

Really good book and funny
Really good book and funny. I bought it as a present and a few days later the recipient asked me where he could buy a copy for a friend, so he obviously liked it! Not to be taken seriously though.
