My wife added these to her earrings rack on the wall (a cooling rack normally used for baking) for hanging up necklaces. I used them on our wire rack shelving to hang items from the shelf. They are made of plated steel and are sturdy enough for their size.The good:The right size for what we needed. The shape is such that it won’t accidentally come off what it is hung from, better than a plain S-hook from the hardware store. Also it has a nice finish.Could Use Improvement:I think it would be ideal if these were made of spring steel. In many cases you need to open the small end a bit to fit around the rod you are connecting the hook to. And then you have to squeeze them back closed a bit so they won’t accidentally come off. It’s not a big deal, but it’s a minor nuisance.

I was looking for an inexpensive way to add more hooks to my IKEA pegboards; they have slots so standard pegboard accessories don't work, and IKEA brand hooks aren't cheap.These are just the ticket. If you push the whole top end into the slot you can then pull it forward and "clip" it onto the board. It's a snug fit and some hooks need a little bending to make it work, but the snug fit is great - these hooks stay on WAY better than the IKEA brand hooks, have a smaller diameter so fit some of my items better, and cost a fraction of the price.I just ordered more!

I needed a solution for storing my numerous quilting rulers and templates, and these hooks were the answer! I simply hooked them onto curtain rod rings I already had and voila! Because of their design, I can remove a ruler without the hook falling to the floor like a "S" hook would have done. These hooks are very sturdy and would be useful for many applications. I'm VERY happy with my purchase!

I use this for my wire metal shelving to hang various items from. I previously used S -hooks, but they kept dislodging when I took the item off the hook. These hooks work well for the mostly lightweight items I hang and take on-and-off frequently. The diameter is too thin for heavy items, but that should be obvious from looking at them.

You need a pair of pliers to open and close the small top ring to get these hooks to fit on the outside rails of the metal shelving. I would not buy these again.

Reordered :) Well made & sturdy but pretty easily allows for expantion if a larger clip is needed to be able to grip or hang on a thicker piece.They also stay in place after squeezing clip enough to slightly hug where attached.I am delighted with this product!

Love! Great price. Saved a whole cabinet of space. We hang mugs from these on our wire kitchen shelf.

Need it to hang my florescent light fixtures. Easy to bend the wire so that it doesn't come out of the holes in the fixtures and fall on my seedlings. Worked perfect for my needs.
