These products saved my voice
I am a singer and started having vocal problems. Turned out to be silent reflux. My voice therapist recommended the Rescue and it worked well. The gum, although strange in texture at first (probably due to the bicarbonate) is more portable, very effective for the reflux, and helped me to somehow relax the muscles in my neck which had tensed up from the laryngeal issues from the reflux. While it is expensive, I consider this medicine. I am ok with paying $22 for a medicine that is helping me keep my vocal cords and larynx healthy. Better yet, it is natural - algae, aloe & bicarbonate. As a bonus, the company is amazing! I ordered their travel size rescue pack, and it came with half of the little packs exploded. I called and not only did they mail me a replacement in perfect condition, they sent me a gift (gum & rescue) with a tote and a handwritten note. Not only did they actually “rescue” my voice, they gave me the warm and fuzzies! So so so nice. Discovering these products has changed my life. Not exaggerating.

Contains ingredients that work directly against its supposed purpose
I just received my order of the Reflux Gourmet gum and was aghast to see that among the principal ingredients are the gas and SIBO causing ingredients sorbitol, malitol and sylitol - plus isomalt. I can't imagine what they're thinking, or that they're thinking it through. I didn't even bother opening the package.Unfortunately, this product isn't returnable but I hope my review saves some others money and GI grief.

Good product
Taste is good. Texture is a little weird when you first start to chew it but then it's fine. It really does help quickly with Gerd issues but it doesn't last very long. Works best to take another antacid then chew this until that kicks in

This gum works amazingly well and fast for me.
This gum works very fast and is extremely effective. The paste I purchase of the same brand unfortunately did not work at all for me. Unlike the paste I would like to purchase this gum by the case. This his gum is not cheap, but worth every penny. The gum works instantly for me, unlike the paste.

Packaged nice. That's where it ends.
Packaged nicely. I don't feel as if they work, though. I found no relief from my reflux after chewing for a while. Also, the flavor only lasts about five minutes at most, then it's like chewing a flavorless piece of rubber. Save your money on this one. The 2-stars is for the packaging.

great for colder months
It's been below freezing where I live for several weeks. I ordered two different brands of liquid sodium alginate medicine (neither were Reflux Gourmet, if it matters), and both arrived congealed and unusable. Apparently this can happen when the product freezes in transit. This gum is a great option when it's too cold to risk ordered liquid medicine. It has helped control my LPR symptoms perfectly.There is a bitter taste, which seems to be from the celery extract. I don't know if this is added as an additional remedy or perhaps a natural preservative? But I don't mind the taste. As long as it works!!!
