As a practicing yogi, burning incense plays a vital role in my daily spiritual practice. The ability to carefully create my own incense shapes in preparation for devotional meditation techniques helps to deepen my experience and promotes increased mindfulness and appreciation of the process. This Molgayol Incense Burner Kit contains everything I need to learn to create both incense powder stamps and cones. What I like: ~ Brass finished metal hand tools - Includes spoon scoop, oval-shaped press, shovel-shaped scraper & soft bristle cleaning brush. ~ Polished brass molds & incense holders - includes stamp incense & ash holder w/ornate lid and optional stick holder insert, and a cone mold & burner plate. ~ A small box of incense ash is included, for use with the incense stamp maker/holder. You don't need much; just enough to line the bottom of the brass circular tray, so it should last for several burnings. ~ Two small bottles of incense powder are included - Jasmine & Ambergris, which burn well and fill my meditation room with lovely scented smoke. I usually burn Nag Champa, so I will be searching for this in powder form. ~ Step-by-step picture instructions are included that clearly illustrate each process well. I didn't feel the need to search elsewhere to learn how to properly use the kit. Tips & observations for making incense shapes: ~ A light touch is needed, especially when pressing the ash powder. Gently tap-press with the oval press. Pressing hard just messes up the coverage. Try as I might, I couldn't achieve a perfectly flat surface, but it didn't seem to affect the incense stamp or keep it from burning efficiently. I think a disc press of the same size as the ash holder would help to achieve a smoother surface. ~ You're working with powders, so it can potentially get messy. Mindful care is necessary. I avoid messes by working over a spare sheet of paper, folded down the center, to catch residual powder and to easily replace it into its container. I also roll the ash bag edges down before scooping, and tap the bottoms of the incense powder bottles before opening, so most of it settles in together. I also brush the bottle/lid edges & threading, where the incense powder has gathered. This eliminates waste and creates a cleaner experience. ~ In my experience, the stamped incense burns approx. 20 minutes when lit at one end, releasing the scent slowly, for a gentle effect. (I used the Jasmine powder for this.) The cones burn approx. 15 minutes, releasing the scent quickly throughout the room. (I used the Ambergris powder for this.) The cone ash doesn't remain intact while burning down, but does remain within the confines of the burner plate. ~ The incense powder bottles & tools are easily removed from the snug packaging by pressing up from underneath. The reason for 4 stars: ~ The hand tools could be of better quality. They are brass-finished, and not evenly, as observed in the second pic that shows the underneath of the press tool. The finish on the hand tools is not smooth & polished, but scratched and used-looking. They also come unscrewed from their handles pretty easily, and I'm unclear on the merits of having them detach in the first place. Perhaps it's tradition, but makes it tricky when they're loose, so ensure they're tightened before using. With that said, I feel the Molgayol Incense Burner Kit is a lovely assortment that brings me further into mindfulness as I prepare for my daily spiritual practice. I highly recommend it for anyone wishing to deepen their experience and appreciation for the traditions and process of incense burning.

I have a friend who loves all things Zen. She finds it meditative and adds peace to her daily life. When I saw this set I knew it would be a perfect gift for her. There's a ritual to how you set up the incense powers. This set comes with everything you need and complete instruction. I can see an older teenager really enjoying this process too. There are multiple tools to use and it reminds me of the old Zen gardens we used to keep on our desks at work only this has a purpose and intent. It's a wonderful gift and I couldn't be happier that she loved it so much!

This is an extremely beautiful kit! I love the metal choice and how it's packaged. So sturdy and giftable! The incense smells pretty good, one better than the other, but still very nice. The kit is perfect for any sort of ritualistic insense burning or meditative burning. Its relaxing and warm putting it together, burning it, watching the smoke rise from the base. Then being able to package it up again if you dont have space for it to just set out, or if you want to protect it!

I can’t figure out how to use these without getting powder everywhere. The loose incense powder gets trapped in the threads of the lid so even opening it is messy. This is more going to be targeted to someone who likes the ritual aspect of setting up incense, not just doing it for the smoke and smell. The tools you get seem of a nice quality and can be used again and again. The ash, to me, seems unnecessary but provides a visual contrast to the incense. The incense lights easily and burns quickly (it’s less dense than premade cones/sticks). I do enjoy the scent in both containers but not sure what each one is because of the non-English script on the bottles. Regardless they won’t last long, they are small. But decent kit and you have the freedom to experiment with different scents to find your favorite.

at first i didnt know what the ashes were for. Also it comes with two primary scents and all the tools needed to work on the micro scale. Makes a great gift or a fun hobbie.

Incense Burner Kit DIY crafting. Got this for my teenage daughter and it was somewhat of a disappointment. The instructions are not clear and it’s not easy to figure out what to do. The powder is not flattening. It looks nice and is packaged well and gift but it’s not an easy project.

This set is pretty cool. It’s brass (or some similar alloy) and seems well made. All of the writing on the box and packaging is in another language, but there is a small sheet with illustrated directions. It took a few tries and a couple of YouTube videos, but I was able to figure out the process. After a little trial and error, I can get it to work pretty well. I’m not a huge fan of either scent of incense that came in the set. I usually burn nag champa, so these are quite different. Not bad at all, just not my favorite. Overall, I’m pleased with the set.

This is Beautiful and smells wonderful. It made a lovely gift that my husband enjoys using. The whole process is very calming and zen. Fabulous and unique!

Ich hab das Set zum Geburtstag geschenkt bekommen. Da ist alles bei was man für den Start braucht. Hätte ich mir auch selbst gekauft. Bin zufrieden. Ich hätte mir aber noch 2 Sachen gewünscht. Zum 1. Eine Art Becher um den Löffel, Pinsel und den ,,Streicher,, auf zu bewahren und zum anderen 2. eine englische oder deutsche Beschreibung was das für Pulver ist. Aber trotzdem für mich 5 Sterne wert.
