Too small for large turkeys, perfect for chickens

Served the purpose with little alteration
It did the job, but I wouldn't recommend it for a full size rooster or hen that weighs more than 5 lbs. (3 lb dressed) because the width of their breast with wings made it difficult to get the body down far enough to get the head adequately through the cone. Will need to purchase a larger one for the bigger birds. We found it difficult to handle the head and neck when hung on a flat board because it lays flush with the board, but adding a 2x4 block behind the bottom of it helped provide extra space. It is easy to clean with soap and water.

Good product!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These cones worked well, however I should have purchased a bigger size. I had a couple of 4 pound birds that fit perfectly, but the majority of the chickens were about 5.5 pounds. These took a little extra effort to get their heads through. But the cones are sturdy and easy to clean.

Worked well, slightly flattened
This worked well after I straightened it out a little. It seemed to be squeezed into too small of a box but it turned out to be easy to straighten out. Worked well when dressing chickens but personally I think a chopping block is more humane.

Does the job
These were to small for our birds, which weighed between 6.5 to 7.5 pounds but still did a good job.

Do not rust
These having been tie wrapped to a fence for months and they still look like new. My first harvest was over a rock and that is so traumatizing I decided I needed the cones and they really help. You simply grab one bird at a time and let them bleed out for a few minutes while you slaughter the next bird. Makes harvest quicker.

Works great, and the 4 pack is great for a small slaughter operation. Plan ahead, because these still need to be set up to a post or beam before your slaughter. These are good for heritage and Cornish cross chickens, but too small for turkeys.

Great idea! I wish I had gotten the small one- I thought I had medium sized birds but once in the cone we could not see the head. I will cut it and re-use... I just wish there was more info on the weight of the birds going into the cone. Maybe I missed it.
