doesn't work for CFExpress in spite of its name - or with the USB-A attachment
FIrst, using the USB-A cable adapter attached, it did not work. It was totally dead. I removed it and used the small USB to connect to my computer. It seemed to work, but in Windows explorer the external drives kept displaying the external drive letters, then detaching and reattaching with beep cycling steadily each time the computer showed the drive letters. This happened when I had a CFExpress B card inserted. It was like a poor connection in the device. I tried an SD card and it worked properly. My main reason for this purchase was to get the CF express reader. It is being returned. Two poor quality components instantly discovered.

Super fast card reader, a little expensive.
Straight to the point, this card reader does a pretty darn good job. Both my usb 2.0 card reader and my on board computer card reader are slow as heck writing at only ~11mb/sec. This card reader I was getting a consistent 34mb/sec on 3gb worth of files using it's usb 3.0 capabilities. Trasnferring the same files back to my computer took seconds transferring around 200mb/sec! I was pretty surprised as I didn't think it could transfer that fast!I have 2 negatives to note, one being the price. Considering it only has a XQD and SD port it's not worth $35 to me, but I'm still going to keep it as it's darn fast. I wish it has at least a microsd port too so I could avoid using a full size SD adapter. My second negative is as I already mentioned being limited to 2 kinds of ports, but that's not a huge issue as SD adapters are easy to come by, and most cards used today for everything is SD or smaller related.I'd definitely recommend this adapter based off of performance alone.

Good, no problems so far
I've been using this card reader for almost tree months and so far this is a great one. I purchased it to transfer pictures from my parents' old camera to pc. Good materials, the speed does not cause any complaints. I am definitely pleased with this purchase.
