Great alternative to pricier options
I have wanted one of these for a while, but the name brand is $100+ and I couldn't justify the price for how infrequently I would use it. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.I wouldn't recommend using it on highly sensitive, low voltage circuits. At rest (the leads connected to a 12V battery) the tip has a resting voltage of about 4V. When I touched it to the coil of a 12V relay with the ground lead on the other side of the coil, it dropped to about 400mV, so it did not activate the relay. Pressing the + switch properly activated the relay, and I measured full battery voltage at the tip. When you press the - switch there is a voltage drop of about 40mV, which is reasonable. There are also 2 white LEDs at the tip that light up when the input leads are connected. This is great for working underneath the dashboard of a car, or similar dark spaces. For the 17 bucks or so that they are asking for this, I highly recommend it for a garage tinkerer.

Does Exactly What It's Supposed To
Got this to replace my 20 year old power probe that finally died. Test on the car and this works perfectly. Does exactly what it's supposed to. Able to apply 12v or ground wherever I need.Product description and pictures are accurate.Quality is decent, but for the price I would say this more than meets my expectations. Certainly not a Snap-On but more than what I need for troubleshooting occasional faults with the truck or trailer.

Probe me this?
Its a basic circuit probe and does exactly what it claims. No extra frills, just what you need to test your automotive circuits. Great product and while I expect it to last a while, if it does not, I will surely buy another, thanks.

Super simple power probe
So I already own a power probe, but the price of this drew me in. Very basic power probe functionality, but it works great. Definitely would be nice to have a voltage readout though...but for simple circuit diagnosis and testing, this should work pretty well.

Basic But Capable
The Amazon product page's description of this P55 Probe Tester Pen appears accurate. While I recommend this product if you have a limited budget, I personally prefer the P100 Probe Kit ($44-$99).
