Arrived just in time!
Those of us who drive Toyota Camrys or other Toyota/Lexus/Scion products that use this type of oil filter arrangement have had some horror story or the other related to it. In my case, it is my wife's Camry that is in question. I service and maintain the car and drive it about 50% of the time and I do the routine engine oil changes and other light repairs myself. The very first time I attempted to do this I could not get the filter cap off and just did the oil change without changing the filter. I had bought the wrong tool and it did not release the ratchet that prevents the cap from turning, but I didn't know that at the time. The second time around, I used an impact wrench. Yes. You read that correctly. The impact wrench did the job and I was pleased with myself until after I removed the cap I saw the mangled mess that the ratchet ended up in! Luckily for me, the cap itself was not damaged, and I managed to bend the ratchet back in place. I had always wanted to replace the cap, though, since I had done such a number on it. This was my chance to redeem myself and to not just replace the cap, but also to use the correct tool to remove and replace it as well as to have all the bits and pieces necessary to do the job right the first time. This kit is a life-saver. My best friend has since purchased one of these kits because the mechanic he took his Scion TC to wrecked the cap and blamed the previous mechanic. Luckily for my best friend I had received this kit only days before and was able to recommend one to him. His car was back on the road in no time and he is perfectly happy, as am I.The Verdict: Buy it! You may not have need for everything in the kit at the moment and you may not need this kit every time you change the oil, but at least one item will be used repeatedly (the cap removal tool) and the other is an item that is a backup (the replacement cap), should the unthinkable happen. That's always a good reason to buy any kit, in my book.

Does not seal, tool is garbage.
Ordered this for my 2017 Lexus IS 200t. I assumed it would be a great upgrade over the plastic housing that came from factory. The construction of materials and casting are sub par, but I gave it a chance. Installed the metal housing and right away there was a leak from the seal. This part was torqued to spec via lexus mechanical repair guidance. Switching back to the OEM plastic unit resolved the leak. The tool to use barely fits and is extremely cheap. You are better off going through an auto parts store with Dorman or the dealer for this one. Lesson learned.

Nice Kit for 4runner
Just what I needed to convert over to a metal housing. Easy to install and everything that comes in the kit is good quality. It comes with enough washers for many oil changes too. Very happy with this and the price is great for what you get. Fits my 15 4runner perfectly.
