Ofargo brand

I had seen a version of these in a store prior to the pandemic, and then never got back to buy them. I always hate putting tongs down because they are large and end up getting the counter or stove messy, not to mention, it is not hygienic for the tongs or surface, and they are generally too large for spoon rests. So, when I saw these, I snapped them up, thrilled! And over all, I really love them, and they solve the issue of what to do with tongs while in use. My only caveat is that the rubber ‘stands’ pop in and out, I assume for cleaning? I have had an issue with them popping out while using them, and not being able to find them (my stove top is black as are my counters, so they blend in). I was also afraid they would end up in the food or fall into the range and burn up. But, I found if you are very firm attaching the stands, you can feel when they click in, you can alleviate the risk by and large. My issues happened when they arrived with the stands already in place, and all I did was wash them off with soapy water before using them, and don’t think they were firmly attached. It has happened once more since I started making sure they were firmly inserted, but for me, the benefit of these far outweighs the need to double check them before using! I think sometimes the rubber stands get loosened a bit being moved around in the kitchen drawer, so a quick check seems to take care of the issue. The rubber end of the tongs are a bit bulky, so not for more delicate items, but overall, very happy with this purchase.

It's as the manufacturer says. The box comes with two sets of tongs that are stainless steel that's nicely heavier duty than others. Price for the two together like this is good.I've used them for cooking and serving chicken, fish, hot dogs, pork chops, broccoli, asparagus, bacon, link sausage, spaghetti, and steaks.The little feet on these works really nice if you want to make sure that when you set them down you're not setting them on a surface that might not be perfectly clean or on a surface you don't want grease and such spotted all over the place.I've only hand washed these since I don't have a dishwasher.On a personal note, I never store pieces like this in the closed locked position. It's handy to have them closed and locked for carrying them about when going from room to room or outdoors, but these are spring loaded and as such springs kept under pressure over time can lose their spring. I store them open and it works fine whether on a shelf, hanging from a rack, or hanging from the edge of a utensil cup/vase.There's that one drawback that just never makes sense to me. "Made in China". There's no excuse for these not being made right here in the U.S.Other than that, it's a good product and I like them.PS. Buyer beware of products made in China claiming to be stainless steel. Cheap quality stainless steel does rust. They rely on the stainless nomenclature to get the sale, only to find out later it was junk. These do not suffer from that false advertising. Nice pieces.

They check every box for me:-First and foremost, they look and feel solidly constructed. Both the silicone and stainless steel appear to be of high quality. Too often I've found the dishwasher be an obstacle something like this would quickly fail to withstand.-Unlike many others, the lever in the back stays solidly in place when the tongs are locked, even if held/flipped upside down.-The spring is strong enough to feel very solid and open up with ease but not so resistant to compression that it gets tiring to use (perfectly balanced in my opinion).-They open as wide as I can imagine necessary for any comfortable use/application whilst not too wide as to go beyond the size of an average person's open hand whilst holding it (I've used plenty too wide for comfortable handling or too narrow for actually comfortable application).-The two sides align perfectly and don't wiggle side-to-side.-The tips are more or less perfectly aligned with the steel/body to prevent things from getting stuck where they connect and otherwise make for more difficult cleaning.-The tips extend into the inside part of the tongs, preventing food from sliding up into the inside - something which always bothered me as it's rather unhygienic. Could perhaps be a TINY bit more flush in this area.-The grip on the side is comfortable and solidly flush with the steel (no peeling corners).-The triangles on which to place the tongs on the table are a very nice addition. Very inconvenient without them, searching for a spot to place them down as to not dirty them or the surface you're placing them on.I take off one star however because the title suggests that these are good for salad when in fact, due to the design of the tips, since they are rather narrow, flat, and don't exactly come fully together (mostly just the very tips), much of the salad falls through the sides and it is otherwise rather hard to grab a good amount (the main reason I was looking for tongs in the first place). I'd give them 5 stars if their intended purpose was otherwise clearly defined, as their design/construction is definitely not random.

These are the best tongs. Really sturdy and the stands are amazing for keeping the tips clean and off the counter. Only complaint is that the stands broke off the previous version so we ordered a new set because we had loved them so much. The new design seems to have changed the weak points on the stand but slightly concerned about longevity of stands again. Still, would highly recommend to every kitchen that loves to cook.

I loved those until the feet feel off, they did not break, they just fell off. I had 4 pairs and only one has any feet left attached.

These are really great, especially in the areas mentioned. The reason only 4 starts is because the pieces that act as stands (so that your not placing dirty tongs on the counter) fall out quickly adter purchase. Otherwise, love thesd, use them pretty much daily for cooking.

Good quality and easy to clean.

What a great purchase. I like it can stand on its own without having to use spoon rest. Very sturdy too

These are well made, with a large silicon tong area. I like the "feet" which keeps the stove top/counter clean.

Great product, durable, good size, locking feature works very well. I like the two different sizes.
