Hard Wearing gardening pants
These Dickie's "carpenter" pants are made of a very dense cotton canvas. I have only worn them once and bought them for gardening and household chores. They are more than adequate. My spouse washed them on the jeans setting and machine dried them before I wore them and they didn't shrink. The side pockets are deep enough for gardening shears and my phone. the hammer loop is large enough for a hammer but also any other tool you may want to hang there. They fit just below the normal waist and the zipper is long enough not to present a problem, if you know what I mean. I expect these pants to last many years of hard wear. I am completly satisfied with them.

Saved my husband’s skin from a motorcycle accident!
My husband was wearing these while in a motorcycle accident. He hit a deer traveling 40 miles per hour. He did break some bones but DID NOT get any road rash and it is 100% because of these pants. The material is so thick, they are not even frayed. Incredible. If you or someone you know is a motorcycle rider, you need these!

Tight waist
I love the durability of these but every time I order them I forget to go up one waist size larger. But it works out well because I don’t have to wear a belt. Also, they make my behind look better than normal pants do and that’s always a plus.

Comfy
Only reason for a sour star is because you can’t fit your hands in the pockets! Too tight at the seams

Awesome, tough, well made and last for ages.
These are the only jeans I ever wear - they are utilitarian but also stylish and unusual. No more boring blue for me!Heavy material, a bit baggy, but very comfortable and they last for years and years. As with all well worn jeans, the colour will fade over time, but they age really nicely.Highly recommend them.

Excelente calidad
Muy buenos pantalones. Muy cómodos y con buen tamaño en la pierna y entre pierna. Vienen un poco reducidos de la cintura así que se recomienda pedir una talla arriba.

Durable Dickies exist who knew
I used to pop the stitches or wear right through the fabric within months when it came to normal Dickies, but I liked the fit so I kept burning my money. Decided to pull the trigger on these and they've lasted a year, lot of friction freying in the thigh but hasn't worn out yet. I wear them both for work and outdoors activities like hiking and camping so they get a good beating and I'm really impressed with how well they've held together. Good amount of stain resistance too which is always a plus. They go toe to toe with the Carhartt duck dungs but have a more firm almost waxy feel which lends to their durability I suppose. Great all rounders and have a good amount of movement in them.

Rugged, old school, good honest trousers.
I have been a long term fan of Carhartt workwear, particularly their duck cotton products. I bought several pairs of their equivalent to this carpenter ‘pant’ over a decade ago and the things are built like tanks, very thick and heavy duck cotton and seemingly indestructible stitching. These Dickies versions are much lighter and don’t have the odd looking flappy pockets hanging off them, resembling cotton spaniel ears. They do have a few additional useful pockets and a hammer loop which will hold anything with a T shaped head such as an axe, or handled Allen key. They are noticeably thinner than my old Carhartts, but it does make them slightly ore comfortable and lighter to wear in the hot weather (albeit a distant memory as our government freeze us to death presently). Not sure how long they will last, but they seem well put together, and they are very comfortable to wear. My only gripe is the sizing has many ‘dead spots’ in between the available sizes, which isn’t unique to these trousers, or Dickies. It’s just somehow very noticeable as I ordered 40” waist to allow the ‘tucking in’ of shirts, pullovers etc, and they are frankly enormous. I kept them in case I gain weight (unlikely as the government is trying to make food so scarce and expensive that I shall soon be eating bi-weekly) and ordered some size 38”.These were better and stay up mostly while I walk around, although if I skip breakfast a belt is preferable.Feeling like a 36” might hit the sweet spot I also ordered some in that size, and lo and behold I can’t even get the zip all the way up, let alone connect the button. I shall save these for my impending starvation, late 2023 or in the event I have an undiagnosed cancer thanks to ‘covid’.Just get a pair, if you’re tempted. They’re great trousers, or ‘pants’ if you swing that way.
