The EDC King of Utility: BORUIT V15 Flashlight Review
I picked up the BORUIT V15 as an upgrade to my everyday carry (EDC) kit, looking for a truly multi-functional flashlight that didn't compromise on brightness or portability. My initial thoughts were positive—the combination of an adjustable head, a magnetic tail, and a full spectrum of light colors (including warm white and red) in such a small package was instantly compelling. This is clearly a light designed for versatility. Experience and Analysis The BORUIT V15 immediately stands out with its feature-rich design. The 1200 lumen maximum output is impressive for a light that weighs less than 3 ounces and is only about 2.93 inches long. This turbo mode is momentary, perfect for quick burst checks. The general illumination, provided by three 351B LEDs, offers different constant-on levels, with runtimes ranging from 4 hours on High to 46 hours on the lowest setting, powered by a built-in 1200 mAh rechargeable battery. The 80 ∘ swivel head is a game-changer for a small EDC light. Coupled with the powerful magnetic tail cap, it easily transforms into a hands-free work light that can be aimed exactly where you need it, whether clipped to a hat or stuck to a metal surface. The side COB lights provide a flood beam with an excellent variety of colors: Warm White: Great for close-up tasks where you want to reduce glare and eye strain. Red Light: Essential for preserving night vision during camping or star-gazing. Red/Blue Flash: A high-visibility warning or signaling mode. The use of a USB-C fast charging port is a must-have for modern EDC gear, making it convenient to top up the 1200 mAh battery from almost any source. The IP67 waterproof rating is a nice touch for a small light, offering peace of mind against rain and splashes. The two-button user interface (UI) controls the main and side lights separately, but users have noted that the double-click timing for constant-on can be a bit tricky to master. Pros Extremely Versatile Design: The 80 ∘ swivel head, two-way pocket clip, and magnetic tail cap provide numerous hands-free options. Powerful Main Beam: A 1200 lumen turbo output is excellent for its size. Multi-Spectrum Side Lights: Includes warm white and red light modes, adding significant utility for various environments. Modern Charging: Features a convenient USB-C fast charging port for quick recharges. Durable and Portable: Constructed from a mix of ABS and aluminum and is lightweight with a IP67 waterproof rating. Cons Tricky User Interface (UI): The two-button operation and specific click-timing for different modes can have a learning curve and may be prone to accidental mode changes in a pocket. Advertised vs. Sustained Brightness: As with many small lights, the 1200 lumen turbo is a short burst, with sustained high-mode output being lower. Verdict The BORUIT V15 is an outstanding 5-star EDC flashlight that punches far above its weight in terms of features and utility. It successfully integrates a massive amount of functionality into a pocketable form factor. While the UI requires some practice, the sheer usefulness of the adjustable head, magnetic base, and multiple light colors makes it one of the most practical keychain/pocket lights on the market. It is highly recommended for anyone looking for a compact, powerful, and versatile light for everyday carry, auto work, camping, or emergency use.

Awesome Little Flashlight!
This flashlight is absolutely amazing. I was genuinely surprised by how well it does! Its pretty damn bright, and the multiple light levels proves to be extremely valuable when I use it at work. I havent quite used the side LED's much, but they're also incredibly bright which is a huge plus. My favorite feature is the magnet. It holds great and the amount of work I do in the dark, its great to make a stationary light out of this thing. The only gripe I have is that I wish the light could have a 90 degree swivel but Im just being nit picky at this point. Solid light, well worth the money

Good budget light
Useful, well built little light. Only fault I see is side lights are too bright for anything but lighting a room size area. Main light bright enough to be useful, probably maxes out more like 6-700 lumens, but decent cool white. Is light enough and with its good clip and adjustable head will make a good cap headlight.

Great EDC
A lot to like and a couple wishes for next generation. Size and shape is great. i carry a flashlight and Zippo as EDC and sometimes hard to tell them apart when feeling which pocket is what. The V15 is a little bigger than the Zippo. The primary light is strong for the size. I'm no techy guy who can measure output, so I can only say for its size turbo mode is really dang bright. Is it 1100 or 1200 lumen, i don't know. It brigher than any headlamp I own and all my other pocket lights that are supposedly in the 700-900 lumen range. Look, the lowest setting is good for low, the rest work for basic looking for stuff under furniture, in drawers or closets and turbo will turn the back the dementors in a dark park. The secondary LED lights, 'side lamp mode' i will get to below but want to point out first, I'm mostly very impressed and happy. i mostly use 'warm' mode which is a dark yellow, goldish light that illuminates most of the case body. When I'm walking in my house, looking for things in drawers at night or where I put something on the dresser top, I'll use this. I call this my 'tactical' mode. Not going to wake people up, not going to get light splashed back into your face and can see quite well. I also use 'warm' as an area light when I'm sitting outdoors and need a little descrete lantern. The next color I use is the red. Comes in handy clipped to the back of my ruck so people can see me, when I want them too. And if the side lamp mode is on for a bit, it adds a little glow in dark for a sutble 'cat eye' effect, which prior service folks should understand. I also want to point out that the USBC charging is great, no more batteries and the two way clip is super handy, i clip this to the bill of my ballcap and back of my my rucks all the time. Still giving this 5 stars but do want to point out something i hope is different in future versions. Back to the side lamp modes, the flashing red and blue is worthless and should be removed for the cycle. I don't ever see a situation that I would use that mode, especially when flashing red is in the cycle. Overall this is a great budget friendly light. The flat, compact size immediately reminds you of how uncomfortable carrying a small thick round flashlight in your pocket is and the light outputs in all modes has its benefits, except as noted.

Extremely bright and functional
Love it! It charges via a USB- C cable so no batteries to purchase. Comes with a lanyard and clip to connect it to your belt, pants or shirt. The flashlight head swivels to place the light in front of you for walking or working and has multiple colors and brightness. This is great to have close by at night for any emergency and to bring it with you on road trips in case your vehicle breaks down. It even has a small strong magnet to attach it on your hood, truck or any metal object when you’re working on something. It’s extremely bright so keep it away from kids because kids like to stare into lights. It’s so strong/bright that if you could look at the light for 10 seconds you’ll probably have trouble seeing for 30 minutes or longer. I love it so much I couldn’t see using any other flashlight again!

Very powerful
like it but I don’t love it. Pros: it is VERY powerful, like so bright it will hurt your eyes which is generally a good thing for flash lights. It’s also well made, very sturdy solid pieces no flimsy plastic to be found. It’s magnetic, but see below. Cons: the brightness is nauseating. There isn’t a small raised rim like most flashlights to block light from shining back at you. It’s really easy to have this pointed in a way that light will be glaring directly into your eyes. It hurts. The buttons are not entirely intuitive. Lots of clicking on my part to get what I want. Also the secondary feature of flashing lights is on the same side as the button so you have to click it facing away from you in an awkward position otherwise you’ll blind yourself bc they are super bright as well. The magnet is on the bottom end so it has to awkwardly stick out from wherever you attach it. Rather than on its side and it can lay flat with a lower profile would make more sense to me. Brightness: 100 stars Concept: 5 stars Execution: 3.5 stars Eye safety: 0.5 stars
