Such a nice knife beautifully crafted and incredibly sharp. One nice enough to keep and pass on. A lovely damscus finish. I like it enough to buy the next one in the set the shogun series chef knife.

A good reason go food shopping!
With three other Dalstrong knives to use I've yet to bring this into my Prepping but it's as good as the others, presented well, amazing quality and sharp as you can get.

Lovely knife, but blade is a bit too stiff.
I liked the profile of this blade and there is little doubt it is superbly made and uses decent steel. It handles really well but if I were to make any criticism at all it would be that for a filleting blade it is quite stiff. I would have preferred a bit more flexibility in the blade to follow contours more readily rather than having to 'feel my way' as it cuts. I've owned this knife for months now and still can't make my mind up whether I like it more than a really cheap but thinner and flexible blade I also own. Pride of ownership of a premium product is one thing but it would be nice if 'premium product' extended to 'premium performance' also, and I'm not sure it does in this case. Looks nice on the knife rack though...
