Great items really strong magnet works well

As an avid dressmaker I am always on the lookout for new gadgets. This appealed to me and I am pleased I ordered it. It is very solid and sturdy when making my new Christmas stockings for the family this year, although slight movement on the curvy toes. My Janome has a decent size metal plate but when there is less area there is obviously less hold. A great gadget but no sure why anyone needs four… two maybe for when I misplace one? Pleased my daughter as she had one too and found it of great benefit.

This is a useful little item, though it's a pity that you can't buy singles because I can't imagine using more than 1. I will be giving away the other 3 in this packet.Works best for straight hems/seams, and when there is more magnet in contact with the metal plate on the machine. Much less magnet to metal plate contact than in the photo and it becomes less fixed.And of course it doubles up as a stray pin finder!When the product page says "can be used anywhere on any machine" they mean on any metal surface.

The media could not be loaded.  Ich habe den Magneten an mehrere Nähmaschinen ausprobiert: Eine alte Bernina 830 (s. Video) und eine Pfaff 282. Es zeigt sich, dass bei Stahl oder eisenhaltigen Bereichen der Magnet sehr gut hält. Das war bei beiden Madschinen so, wenn auch bei der Bernina nur an der Stichplatte. Zum Ende des Videos klopfe ich deshalb noch einmal mit dem Magneten das ALuminium ab. Der Magnet hält super und vorbei sind die Zeiten, wo man sich nich Tape dort platziert hat. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es wegen der Nachhaltigkeit: Warum sind hier vier Magneten in einer Verpackung, wo man doch nur einen braucht??
