Solid strings
Nothing special so you can get cheaper ones if you want, but does the job. Bought one to replace the E1 string which had snapped on my guitar and it works perfectly.

Good strings but 2 were defective!
Augustine strings are very good generally and these are no exception. However, only 4 stars because 2 strings were faulty and 2 in one set is not what I expected from such a reputable company. The 3rd string was sticky along approximately a third of its length and the first string was cut precisely in half. The seller acted immediately and with courtesy to replace both strings.

Perfect for my use - as the D string on my 'High D' tuned baritone ukulele
Perversely, I don't use these strings on my classical guitar - I use them tuned one tone below top E on my 'High D' tuned baritone ukulele. They work perfectly.

The best!
I've tried many different strings over the years and these are the best sounding and feeling by far imo. The other Augustine strings are very good too if you prefer a different tension. There may be better out there, but I've probably tried them if they were less than $30 a set and I keep running back to these.
