YAMAHA YPT360 61-Key Touch-Sensitive Portable Keyboard With Power Adapter (Amazon-Exclusive)

Note: I've been writing and recording music with synthesizers for awhile, but this is my first real keyboard.This is a fantastic instrument, especially at this price point. I would never expect the built-in sounds to replace anything in my current arsenal, it does have some great presets, and the speakers are high quality. It entirely avoids some of the cheap sound that I've heard out of other keyboards at the price point so sometimes it's fun to just jam with it. Not quite professional grade, but not bad either.I've primarily been using this to learn and as a midi input via my MacBook and it shines in both departments, though the velocity on the keys can get a little balky if you're not in the default setting. The keys have great weight, though, and are so far better than ones on some of my synths. I highly recommend it as a midi controller.While I have been using an iPad app connected to the keyboard to learn how to properly play, I've played around some with the built-in lessons and it seems pretty great. Still too early to tell there.Overall, I'd highly recommend this to a beginner and even a mid-level musician, especially at this price point.

I've had this keyboard about a month so I'm still learning how to access its many features. I'm really a beginner although I had lessons as a kid. I'm enjoying playing the melody with the right hand and accompaniment with the left. One can select songs from the music db such as 001 "Hey Jude" then play just a couple if keys to get chords such as major, minor, 7th, etc. Doing this also provides drum and other accompaniment to make it sound quite good.It's easy to plug in headphones and easy to connect cell phone or other music source to which you can play along. The sound quality is excellent.There are a lot of features I have yet to try. I'm really looking forward to learning more.Highly recommend.

This was a gift for my husband on his b day he actually loves it tells me it play really nice to enjoys everything that comes with the keyboard 500 sounds it also help my husband keep in beat when he plays is guitar I play piano myself it’s all different ball game for me but I do like this keyboard a lot it’s really worth the money to buy I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone that’s looking to play it is a beginners keyboard but it does do it job I know spend my money well worth it to have it I would buy another again if I need to

Needed a lighter piano then my concert grand. This thing is great. Sound are just what i expected from Yamaha. Love the battery powered function. Nice and portable for my wife to use.

My five year old son asked for piano lessons. I didn’t want to spend too much money if he ended up not following through, but this piano has been great. I’m no expert, so take that into account, but the sound is excellent. It has some great features he has discovered that allows him to play over music and record his “music.”I don’t know if this would suffice for an intermediate level player, but this is a great instrument for beginners.

I picked up a keyboard at goodwill and decided that I'd stick with it. I returned that one and I bought this Yamaha, and boy am I happy! Surprisingly light for it's size, but feels really sturdy. The sound and varieties available make this great for me to grow into the instrument. A totally reasonable price for so much functionality.
